“Due To A Poor Harvest Season, We Are Experiencing Shortages On Many Of Our Canned Vegetable Items”
tecb ^ | 7/16/19 | Michael Snyder

Posted on 07/19/2019 12:12:25 PM PDT by Roman_War_Criminal

I know that this headline is alarming, but it is actually a direct quote from a notice that was recently posted in a Kroger supermarket. And as you will see below, similar notices are being posted in the canned vegetable sections of Wal-Mart stores nationwide. I would encourage you to examine the evidence in this article very carefully and to come to your own conclusions about what is happening.

At this moment, social media is buzzing with reports of shortages of canned vegetables all around the country. But so far, the mainstream media is being eerily quiet about all of this. Is there a reason why they aren’t saying anything? For months, I have been reporting on the extremely bizarre weather patterns that are causing crop failures all over the planet. But I certainly did not expect that we would already begin to see product shortages on the shelves of major U.S. supermarkets this summer. What I am about to share with you is shocking, but the truth needs to get out.

For those that share my articles on your own websites, I know that all of the images in this article are going to be an inconvenience, but it is imperative that you include them when you republish this article because they tell a story. All of the images are taken directly from Facebook, and they prove that we are now facing a nationwide shortage of canned vegetables.

Maybe its because Walmart is not paying their suppliers on time, like what happened to Sears and JCPenney. Shelves started to be empty.

When we go to our local Walmart it is like a cemetary the past six months or so. They installed all self checkout lanes and I never see an actual cashier working when we’re there. And I don’t think the customers like that very much. So Walmart is going the way of the dodo bird. The natural cycle of capitalism - the strong will survive and the arrogant will fade away...

That is exactly what I keep hearing about in the Midwest.
Folks can yuk it up all they want but this stuff will come back to bite us pretty quickly.

I expect meat prices to skyrocket because of the corn crop failure.

On price differences between fresh vegetables and canned vegetables, consider the weight of the water in the cans.

We have had an unusually wet year so far in Kentucky and it has had a significant effect on the corn planting and crop growth. At the moment I am more concerned with how the diminished corn crop will affect the bourbon industry.

This year’s weather has affected agriculture in some areas of the country. How much it will affect availability and prices is still open to question & won’t be seen for a time.

This is a direct result of global cooling.

The news never talks about it but the first part of this year was the coolest in recorded history for North America, and it is affected not only vegetables but feedstocks for Animals also.

Expect this news to be repeated many many times over the coming decades.

Most big media people likely believe the supermarkets will just have to grow more cans - isn’t that how food is produced?

In areas where IQs are higher, Walmart's recent homo-activism was noticed. There are consequences for that kind of management.

Was behind my Wally World store just yesterday. There were a number of shipping containers lined up that are normally not there. I think we’re in for a manufactured reason to jack prices before the election, blaming Trump’s trade policy withy Chine. (Hint: demon rats and their whoredom media don’t need reality to float their usual lies and division. I hate demon rats.)

I love that stuff!

I just added a few items from your recipe to my shopping list for tomorrow. It is uncomfortable here, altho it is going to cool down a tad tomorrow evening. Too bad the humidity is going stay high.

Anyway, thanx!

Oh, crap. Another stupid survivalist site selling No. 10 cans of TVP.

Did the jackass include warnings that we’re about to be rounded up and sent to concentration camps?

I suppose it just depends on what part of CA.
It might not be everywhere. Best advice is always to have 4-6 months worth of food just in case.

These days you never know.

It’s kind of sad the uppity folks around here talk bad about canned goods. Having grown up in a large poor Irish family a normal weekly dinner would be canned green beans in cream of mushroom soup with chopped up hot dogs.
Years back, with my great Catholic education I served 4 years on submarines. Powdered milk, eggs and potatoes were the norm when we ran out of fresh stock. Adding also dried beans and dried vegies.
I don’t know how my brothers and sisters ever felt about it because none ever complained but when I’d come home on leave I’d ask Mom please leave chunks in the mashed potatoes so I know they are real.
Thankfully God has blessed me immensely but that’s not saying I couldn’t or wouldn’t eat any of those same products today.

Plus all the respect in the world thrown out there to my Army and Marine brothers that go out into the field for weeks eating MRIs and having no showers for weeks at the time.
I think folks today are soft. If there was a word I could use more extreme than that I would have.
Come to think of it, maybe that’s why as a nuclear family with a mom and dad, that’s why we said grace at every meal.

I’m always fully stocked with many many canned goods. I’ll have to check out Kroger tomorrow and walk the canned vegie aisle and see for myself.

Wal-Mart where I live is always out of stuff. It was no surprise they had empty shelves for some brands of green beans. Plenty of Del Monte, though.

Freezing breaks down the water molecule based cell. That is an unfortunate trait of nature. It cannot be hidden, or modified.

Canning better preserves the vegetable cells.
The disadvantage is the added cost of metal for the can. But tin, iron and aluminum are abundant in the Earth’s mantle.

Frozen was invented to leave canned foods for the rest of us. Spinach, lima, green bean, corn and mushrooms are the staples.

Folks are soft these days. Horribly soft and lazy.
The immediate gratification culture is what got us to this point. That’s why the 3rd world moves here like a magnet.

Grace??

Who does that anymore? Our family does, but another factor that Americans don’t seem to get is that somebody had to sweat and work for that food - nobody gets the concept of killing to eat anymore.

The only reason anybody has a meal in front of them is The Lord Almighty. Grace should be mandatory.

Thank you for your post & God Bless!
