Why has it taken 2+ years to do this? It should have been ordered day 1.
The Attorney General has also been delegated full and complete authority to declassify information pertaining to this investigation..
is vastly different than ordering him to declassify. Barr has the authority to do so - doesn't mean he'll do it.
Today, at the request and recommendation of the Attorney General of the United States,
Heres the money line.

Game time!
Light the fuse, then what? Boom, or pfffttt?
KA BOOM!
I will believe it when something ACTUALLY happens. Until then it is just noise.
Can’t wait to read the FISA warrants and the stuff Gowdy said was game changing today! Oh wait, not one single piece of paper has been released yet.
The President has talked about this for months. There should have been a large stack of information ready to be released on day one, but there is not. Information dibbled out over long periods of months has only convince a small minority of people that there was and issue. Hell, a slight majority of people believe Trump is still a Russian spy. Hardly anyone believes Obama directed a spying operation or the true story of the leaks.
All in all, excellent analysis. However, I disagree with the following statement:
It allows Barr and Durham the discretion to hold back any documents whose public revelation might harm their own inquiry.
If this were a public relations effort to make the democrats look bad, then OK. If this is a criminal investigation, then exculpatory information must also be released.
The Attorney General has also been delegated full and complete authority to declassify information pertaining to this investigation, in accordance with the long-established standards for handling classified information..."
IMHO, this is brilliant. If there are any issues with declassification, then AG Barr is responsible, not POTUS. AG Barr to follow "long-established standards" and addressees to expedite. In event of a tie, AG Barr casts the deciding vote.
I wonder how many times in our history full and complete presidential authority has been delegated? Not many. To me, this shows that President Trump has full faith and trust in AG Barr. I hope this faith and trust continues to be earned.
On a personal note to EyesOfTX...thanks for being a Freeper and posting here at FreeRepublic. I look forward to your daily reports.
