Seems like outside of Texas or the south, every single time some restaurant touts their fried chicken, it’s always done wrong somehow.

Usually the spices are where they screw it up. And also the gay side dishes.

I used to love Golden Bird Chicken in Los Angeles. They were a very successful local chain that had a unique recipe.

How anyone can cover Chicago and NOT mention Harolds Chicken Shack tells me they spent little time in Chicago or ignored the south side.

To me the best fried chicken is Popeye’s. I guess they are outside the South too.
Some of the early Kentucky Fried Chicken was really good but they seem to have forgotten how to make it.

I still love good old KFC, all dark original. Ive tried some of the others and they never did much for me. I just wish they had better sides.

Stroud’s in Kansas City, MO...best I ever had.
Popeyes in downtown Chicago was excellent years ago....don’t know about now. The ones in the suburbs that I have tried have blown.

I’ve been in a couple. Very depressing places.

Never mind.
