The EU has ZERO reason to let UK go, let alone do so painlessly, it is in its own best interest and survival to make sure the UK is punished, to prevent other nations from leaving the bloc.

Just pull of the bandaid and get it over with already. England has been around for over 1000 years, its been in the EU less than 30, it will survive without being in the EU...

The DUP is a Northern Ireland party, which country voted in favor of remaining due to the obvious complications of the Irish border issue if Brexit occurs. If now they're supporting Brexit, May's coalition is toast (which it probably was anyway).

The EU's reply to her was essentially "we'll give you another two weeks to get your heads right" and gave not one millimeter in concession otherwise. If they'd thrown her a bone to take back to Parliament it might have accomplished something in the way of swaying the vote, but all it really served to do was further harden the resolution of the Brexiteers.
