Saw it on Yahoo. Of course he denies getting special privileges for his daughter's admission. As I see it he's done so much for the university sports-wise his kids should be given Carte Blanche treatment. My only problem with Joe is that he didn't have to apply and receive Workmen's Comp for football injuries. He was a millionaire many times over at the time.
Lots of fan boys & fan girls getting Woke to Who can have talent, but possess absolutely NO.PERSONAL.ETHICS.
Being Amoral does not pass as a virtue. It’s pathetic that short of bloody murder, a father proving to be an empty suit, Today, serves as the community standard and gets a pass because you can toss balls.
Of course this goes across the board, for women too.
Who played Chuckie?
I suspect Singer built his model in scamming the elite wealthy. 500k for a state school proves these people were idiots.
Let’s hope Joe entered and left the building by the right door, in this case. So sick of this ESPN-Hollywood standard being pushed, in Media, as the high bar for behavior, when it is lower than low.
Glad I wasn’t drinking when I read that
LOL, did she roll her eyes at you? My wife did it to poke a little fun at me, she likes telling people how I didn’t know who Kim Kardashian is!
Still none of us explained his workman’s comp claim. He WAS entitled to it.
They take out the workmans comp from the paycheck on a mandatory basis, you draw the benefits if you were injured...You would, I would...He did and should have.
“Say it ain’t so Joe.”
But NO politicians..?
COME ON..!!
You’re right. Joe desperately wanted to turn both son into star quarterbacks and was constantly moving them from high school to high school to high school, and then, later, from college to college to college. Neither of ‘em were ever anywhere near NFL-level players. It was kind of sad, as they both kept doggedly pursuing their old man’s career path. As the saying goes, there are no second acts.
Look
At least For now you cant win a football game and less you actually win it on the field
And its not predictable either
Consider that last Super Bowl did anybody on the planet earth predicted 30 score at the end of the first half between the patriots and the LA Rams the two most prolific offense is in football?
No and thats because in football Defense wins championships
New England played one of the best defense of football games ever in the history of the Super Bowl
So Joe Montanas kid was with the play football great he can say whatever but you got to get out of the field and actually do it
And guess what kids its the same thing in chemical engineering mechanical engineering physics nuclear physics any of that
Your mommy and daddy may be able to bribe some official to get you into the school but you aint going to compete unless you can do one subject
mathematics
That is the beauty of mathematics that could never ever be taken away theres always going to be a right answer and a wrong answer
I hear you. I don’t recognize the names of most “stars” in the news today. Clark Gable, Gary Cooper, I know who they are but Adrianna so and so, I have know idea.
They said that Singer had a college consulting service that was generally legit. Mickelson and Montana used him. But Joe’s kids really were athletes. And there is no evidence that they cheated on any test scores. I know Montana’s son played football at Notre Dame. But his career was just a few plays as quarterback. Its more likely that Montana and Mickelson wanted special services like privacy in exchange for speaking at the school. Remember Singer would likely want star athletes to speak at his events in order to meet more college coaches.
Not sure there is a genetic relation....
Seems like many on this board had a humorectomy that went wrong...
Not sure of your point. De La Salle is a private school. Ill bet they would have been honored to have the local heros boy if they had a house in the est bay, or in Timbuktu
A few years back Joe was asked to help by attending a charity event.
He agreed but insisted on an appearance fee.
Nice.
This scandal has a silver lining. As always happens, the entitled class over-reached. It's as wrong for an unqualified student to be admitted to play a sport or for ethnic balance as it is for any other reason.
(don't wind me up)
