Home, home on the range
Where the deer and the antelope play
Where seldom is heard
An encouraging word
And the skies are still cloudy all day
(apologies to Roy Rogers)
Well, President Trump addressed the nation last night. The only surprise was that the networks decided to carry it. Somebody reminded them its not their place to determine whether the American people are permitted to hear the Presidents words, whether they consider them to be filled with lies or not. Chuck and Nancy handed network execs a graceful resolution by demanding their own version of Net Neutrality via equal time.

The only thing I got out of their joint statement was a newfound respect for the limitations of professional makeup artists. And boy, if SFN has her face stretched any further her hairline is going to be behind the crown.
Perhaps it was because of my nightmarish trip across the mountains of Wyoming yesterday - including two separate closures en route that doubled the normal travel time for that leg of the trip - but the two of them, frozen in time together like that, reminded me of the pronghorn antelope that one sees along the entire 400 mile stretch of I-80 through Wyoming: herd animals roaming at will. They consider it all their God-given free range even if its owned by a rancher trying to eke out a living by grazing cattle there.
The Pronghorns have absolutely no use or respect for fences either.
Chuck and Nancy also share the Pronghorns vocalization patterns:
Prove me wrong.

PhotoShop and a serious error. Antelope do not leap fences (unless the fence is broken) especially at that height. They dive between ground and first strand or between first two strands.
And they always leave tracks in the snow. Always.

LOL. Not all photoshoppers pay sufficient attention to detail.
There was never a doubt they would all cover it because Fox and some others were definitely gonna do so - they didn’t want to miss out by being left behind and also needed to be able to show the Dastardly Duo with their rebuttal and the chance to add their own 2 cent in real time...watched it on Fox and turned over as soon as Shep’s face appeared...
While Daniel E. Kelley sung the song, Home Home On the Range, a man named Brewster M. Higley originally wrote the song as a poem in 1873.
Ive been in the Soddy in NW Kansas where it was written.

Thanks, Mercat! I was going to say the same thing, but you beat me to it. I have also been to the Higley cabin. He actually spent TWO winters there, to homestead the place. Guess he was tougher than me....
Were you on BAK? A very obscure location.
BAK? Not sure what that is.
I used to go by there occasionally, driving for work. Finally stopped one day just to see what it was.
