So very proud that you’re an American... we need many more like you.
Your family history, both happy and tragic historically, and your and their stories are the bedrock of the foundations that built AMERICA.
Although those who would become MY family arrived (thankfully) before WWI, the process was the same. English was learned (the children were NOT allowed to speak Polish, Russian or Lithuanian to each other.
Just to be an American was a joy, and it was the children of those early IMMIGRANTS who donned AMERICAN uniforms and saved the entire world.
The immigration systems and laws of THEN are what is needed today.
