LionAir B737 MAX Interim report
It means that I am glad we decided never to fly again! Luckily, Arizona has a State Driver’s license that is not recognized as a Federal ID, so I can use that for an excuse.
I think theyre going to make us get a new one in the next two years or so. I hope to God I can bring my own picture.
Ours don’t expire until 2021. A lot can change between not and then.
I thought you’d have a link to a real report. Not a video blog from a t-shirt salesman.
When I want information on air crashes, I look at a couple of sites where professional pilots post.
One is pprune.org - the rumours and news section. It can get pretty technical sometimes.
Another is airliners.net. It’s not as good as it used to be. A lot of the reallly knowledgeable experts left when there were so many crazy theories being posted about the missing Malaysian airliner. Then there was a change of ownership and now it seems like there are a lot more non-pilots posting. Zeke and mandala are a couple of good experts there.
mandala is Gerry Soejatman. He’s an Indonesian aviation expert. He appears in a lot of news stories and on tv as an expert. Sometimes I just google his name to see what he’s saying.

Wow! Boeing’s response is RTFM . . .
I just bought a car a few months ago...a reasonably nice "mid level" vehicle.Certainly no Ferrari!
The owner's manual comes to just under 500 pages. If I get into an accident due to having failed to read the manual several people might die and thousands of dollars of property damage might result.
When an pilot screws up hundreds of people could die (almost 600 dead on Tenefife) and many millions in property damage can result.
It seems to me that Boeing would have a duty to do more than just put important points in writing.
