Reuters just published this article about General Motors planning to close a plant in Ohio due to there being less demand for small cars.
Trump responded by saying:
“They better put something else in.”
It’s not the job of the President to tell private companies what products to make or how many kinds of products to make.
Shame on Trump for trying to give himself powers that are not authorized in the Constitution!
Well I saved my pennies and I saved my dimes...
He didnt specify what they should put in so it is okay.
Um.... What!? I don’t recall an order. What a mental midget.
As Tucker said Capitalism isnt a religion. Thank God there is at least one person who puts America first in D.C.
Is the cars that GM are manufacturing arent selling then go back to the drawing board and come up with cars that will sell! After taking taxpayer bailout money they owe it to their employees!
I would suggest that you keep that word out of FR forums. When flippantly used it confirms to your political opponents that conservatives are nothing but a bunch of racist bigots even if you're not.
Just my two cents...
Tell that to Obama. He is center in the demise of Pontiac and Oldsmobile in the colossal bailout oh GM.
Yes.
Too funny - he said maybe they should make better cars if their bread and butter wasn’t selling......
The democrats and Globalists are working now on the 2020 election. Trump needs to begin moving entire federal departments OUT of DC to states where votes in the future are needed. While moving the agencies, privatize the workforce. The late Sen. Byrd moved a lot of Fed jobs to WV out of DC.
Re: 87 - Thanks for posting that. Theres no place for that word on FR.
How is trump forcing GM to do anything by stating what he did in the tweet (in its entirety, not out of context)?
I actually agree. But sine GM is going to cut these American jobs, while leaving Mexican and Chinese jobs in place, couldn’t they at least return their bailout money?
My Brother in Law was one of those rightful owners who had his GM securities basically stolen, part of his personal retirement plan. He worked for Delphi for a long time. The UAW got the sweet end of that deal.
My sister, his wife, just bought a Nissan Rogue. That would not have happened before the bailout.
