Social network service Gab has been banned from using PayPal after the anti-Semitic profile of the man suspected of gunning down multiple people at a Pittsburgh synagogue Saturday morning gained attention.
Shortly after Robert Bowers anti-Semitic rants began to circulate online, PayPal sent the social networking site notice that it would be terminating its current relationship. PayPal offered no explanation to Gab for the decision, other than referencing PayPals right to make such a decision. (RELATED: Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting Suspect Identified As Robert Bowers)
However, in a statement to The Verge, PayPal made its reasoning more clear: The company is diligent in performing reviews and taking account actions. When a site is explicitly allowing the perpetuation of hate, violence or discriminatory intolerance, we take immediate and decisive action.
Gab brands itself as The Home of Free Speech Online, and promises its users that they are free to express any opinion, no matter how unsavory others may find it. However, the platform claims it took swift and proactive action by providing Bowers profile and user data to authorities as soon as it was aware that the the account existed. We refuse to be defined by the medias narratives about Gab and our community, said the social media company. Gabs mission is very simple: to defend free expression and individual liberty online for all people. Social media often brings out the best and the worst of humanity.

Your favorite social media and conservative news resources are next if this does not get stopped here and now.
It is not lost on me that you constantly post this shooting over and over in order to try and influence the narrative.
Let me tell you, this shooting and all the times you post it, has no place in politics or on a political blog and you won’t get the results at the ballot box you want just from it.
Gab was great in the beginnings, but hijacked by the anti-semites. Im not Jewish, but the attacks in GAB caused me to walk away 2 months ago. So much for free speech when it turns to hate.
There are ZERO controls over antisemitic utterances over phones yet there unfettered use of phones persists:
Why is Gab so special..?
Here we go, Gab is the alternative to Twitter and was just starting to get rolling they will not shadow ban Conservatives so they must be crushed.
This is soft-fascism American style; private industry believes it is in their long term interest to suppress opposition and support Leftist regimentation of society and economy.
The GOP will continue to go along. After all, standing up to thugs might jeopardize reelection.
If they were able to do this to Gab, why will they not eventually do this go US..?
FR supports Israel and anti-semitism is forbidden, yet there is a vast array of sober opinons, which if you voice them, will absolutely get you tarred as an anti-semite.
The last time I was called a nazi, it was because I said I didn’t like Hillary Clinton.
Sounds like a business opportunity for you. Start up an alternative to Paypal and sign up Gab as your first customer.
Gab has a neat feature where you can mute users. I don’t like the Jewish hate posts so I mute the posters. Must agree that there are a lot of them out there.

I’ve been strongly considering it, but just as strongly suspect that more than one other person is well ahead of me on this.
Actually, it’s a good thing for these crazy people to post their profiles. It gives us a better idea who to watch out for rather than they just appear out of thin air.
So..... any murderers who use Facebook should get Facebook shut down, no? What if a killer ever went on Twitter? That has never happened, right? Or else theyd shut down twitter?
thanks for the info. I signed up for Gab but never actually created an account.
Lifesite was among my favorites.
It is not lost on me that you need to shut up.
