Ford said it was 4 boys, then she said 4 others, and now it’s 3 boys and a girl.
From the WAPO Ford interview...”The therapist notes say four boys were involved, a discrepancy Ford says was an error on the therapist’s part. Ford said there were four boys at the party but only two in the room.”

years ago in MD, i believe it was 15 1/2 for learners permit but needed a licensed driver in the car while you were driving..of course if you participated in underage drinking an sex you probably didn’t care about laws..

I think it means that Chris Garrett hosted the party - and he remembers EVERYTHING - including the drunken "dum cumpster" Blasey and her antics...
From his original report, he included a floor plan of the house which has now been scrubbed.
However, the Zillow entry for the house still has the floor plan included (click on the photo and go left through the pictures, since the floor plan is at the end). The description of the house (and the floor plan itself) shows no bathroom on the main level of the house (built in 1928). The bathroom is upstairs on the second level, right next to a bedroom.
The house matches the description of events.

He's telegraphing to Ford and the Democrats that he knows more about this party and the details of the incident than what Ford has told Feinstein and the Democrats.

A canary trap is a method for exposing an information leak by giving different versions of a sensitive document to each of several suspects and seeing which version gets leaked. It could be one false statement, to see if sensitive information gets out to other people as well. Special attention is paid to the quality of the prose of the unique language, in the hopes that the suspect will repeat it verbatim in the leak, thereby identifying the version of the document.

And the therapist’s notes say “four boys” were involved in the incident, not two. Also, the therapist’s notes say nothing about another female. So, I’m not sure who this other female is that Whelan is referencing.
I will say this much, though: teenage girls run in packs, and the idea that she went to this drinking party with 4 guys and no other women seems particularly strange to me. She also claimed she didn’t really know these boys that well, which adds to the unlikelihood of her going there without at least one other female. Yet, when she “escaped” she says she left the house. She did not say that she found her girlfriend and they left, which is almost certainly what would have happened if there 1. was another girl there, and 2. she had been assaulted.
The apology... increases interest in a story that wasn’t getting as much publicity as it does now. ‘Scandal’ has that effect.
Garrett apparently has previously signed a letter in support of his old classmate Kavanaugh. I doubt that he is bothered by being named as the presumed culprit in Whelan’s report. In fact he may well be the source of the story.
