Interesting. I always thought that his body was never found. I could be wrong, however. Over 6,000 people were crucified on the Appian Way. Since very few Romans knew what he looked like, it is quite possible that he was one of the ones nailed to a tree. I wasn't there, so I honestly don't know either, I just took it from the movie that he was.
