Disney is feeling the burn now. The company recently released a new trailer for the upcoming Disney animated show, Star Wars: Resistance, and fans have made it known that they arent having anymore of Disneys agenda at all.
The trailer was posted up August 17th to the Disney channel. It features a minute long breakdown of Star Wars: Resistance and the general plot of the show, which centers around a goofy young man who joins the Rebels. His job is to weed out potential defectors and spies within the ranks and report back to pilot Poe Dameron. The show is set to premiere on October 7th at 10:00pm EST on the Disney Channel. You can view the trailer below.

EA Games is suffering the same fate with the (barely) WWII-themed Battlefield V.
I never really played Battlefield games. I had BF4, which I couldn't get into very well as lousy internet and Wi-Fi speeds killed my gaming experience.
After upgrading those things, my BF-loving friends encouraged me to play Battlefield 1, which I love, but am getting bored with. I also managed to get my septuagenarian father into it (he currently outranks me, but he's retired and can play whenever).
When Call of Duty (a series I absolutely loved - Ghosts and Infinite Warfare excepted) bombed with their most current WWII offering (one I didn't purchase), I hoped the next Battlefield iteration would be WWII. It was, but my hopes were dashed with the cartoonish and SJW crap in the preview.
Folks who had the same opinion I had, have since been called uneducated by EA's developer, and told not to buy the game. This same developer just happened to quit last week after a report showing pre-sales are down over 80% from Battlefield 1.
I have also noted a distinct die-off in player numbers in Battlefield 1 since all this brouhaha.
“theres probably a liberal anagram in the if you look hard enough.”
Poe Dameron = R Paedo Demon?
Personally, I’m not fond of the inherent implication that the main character is effectively a member of the secret police, or that the Resistance has a secret police force, and that such is treated as a good thing.
And anyways, I wasn’t fond of the Resistance anyways, or The Force Awakens, since it was a lazy rehash of the Rebels, and in fact, they shouldn’t even be called the Resistance since they’re backed by the actual dominant power of the Galaxy, the New Republic. If anything, the First Order is closer to an ACTUAL resistance group due to them fighting AGAINST the New Republic.
True, but now it's just going to have that connotation.
I think Star Trek fans are happy that Disney hasn't bought out the rights to Star Trek...
They were called the Resistance in 2015.
This is the best animation they could come up with?
Maybe not, but on the other hand, JJ Abrams unfortunately is involved in both franchise movies.
Uh ... "Trekkies" are Star Trek universe. I don't think that they really care about the aborted mess that Star Wars has become ...
I had to create a Yahoo account to FReep this! Totally worth it!
That’s true, he does seem to have the knack to alienate the fan base of both franchises.

I guess they are too angry.
True. But I'm still going with they are doing this as an in-your-face to Trump. I'm rather curmudgeonly in that respect.
Star Wars is dead to me, and I've been a fan since 1977 when I sat in the theater at 8-years-old, and my jaw dropped in awe.
Of the last four films, I truly only enjoyed Rogue One, and even that was pushing the SJW envelope. The Farce Awakens and The Lost Jedi were visually stunning, but craptastic for acting (of course, some bad acting is kind of expected in Star Wars - see Hamill, Mark), plot, and SJW virtue signaling.
I didn't even bother with Solo.
Well... in fairness... the producer of the original star wars thought of the United States as the Evil Empire and the Viet Cong as the Rebels... so yes... there really is political statements there.
Is that Carrie Fisher’s understudy?
Not to mention inferred that the Old Republic was basically meant to be a combination of the Roman Republic, Weimar Republic, and Robespierre’s French Republic (and honestly, that LAST one I take massive issue at, knowing EXACTLY what that was like, not to mention his implication that it was better than Napoleon’s rule of France or King Louis XVI’s rule of France), and that the Trade Federation was apparently created to be a strawman for the Republican Revolution of 1994 (Nute Gunray being partially named after Newt Gingrich, while Lott Dod, aka the Trade Federation senator that objects to Padme Amidala’s accusations, is pretty much Chris Lott).
And honestly, the Rebels being Viet Cong standins is EXACTLY why I’m rooting for the Galactic Empire now.
LOL! "Poe" is one of the weakest, most pathetic characters in the "Star Wars" universe.
The Force or the Flow?
Because young men can never be brave, smart, clever, strong, inventive ...
No, they have to be "goofy".
A plague on Disney.
Well, I can tell you that Prince Phillip, Prince Eric, Beast (before Belle neutered... sorry, “civilized” him, anyway), and Aladdin were pretty brave, smart, clever, strong, and inventive, at least.
But yeah, making the protagonist a goofball’s bad. I’d probably tolerate it if it were Son Goku-kind of goofball, but I suspect it’s not even going to be that kind.
