No, homosexual priests are not given counseling, but just told to behave themselves - if it gets public. Most of these guys were not pedophiles, but adult men who went after teenagers or younger men...or older bishops and priests who went after seminarians, which is unfortunately not covered by criminal statutes.
Homosexuality and the fact that it has become the norm is the symptom, not the cause. The collapse of the Faith with VII is the cause.
I have had arguments with gays who say the priests are all pedophiles, but most of the victims are in mid to laye teens which makes it more homosexuality than pedphilia. Gays deny that.it is in their interest to do so, but it does not ring true. Male teachers have preyed upon HS girls for years so why should gay teachers or priests not treat teen boys in the same manner.
