I held my nose when I voted for the Donald Trump in 2016, but at the rate things are going now, I will not only happily vote for him in 2020, I will personally do everything I can to get everyone I know to do the same.
He is a buffoon when it comes to social media, his personal history is abysmal, and his political naivete is often maddening. But when it comes right down to it, there are very few current issues where I disagree with the direction or the goals of his administration.
Execution of that agenda is often a troublesome and difficult course, but the general goals of the presidents administration are consistent with what conservatives have been seeking for generations.
The fact that this bumbling caricature of a leader seems to be succeeding in much of what he does, and that his presence and policies have sparked a great revival of the American economy, has his enemies to the point of daily histrionics, the likes of which Americans have never seen in their lifetimes.
We have all read that there was genuine hatred and over-the-top partisanship among many of our countrys Founding Fathers; a few of them even took to deadly violence when their personal attacks on each other crossed the line. But todays environment is not about the politicians taking on each other now we have the entire fourth estate choosing up sides. Never before have we seen in America common sense put aside while carefully choreographed, one-sided attacks come in from nonpartisan mainstream media outlets that routinely ignore history, precedent and the rule of law.
Put the partisan cheerleading corps of Fox News and MSNBC aside, and you still have an amazingly homogeneous anti-Trump drumbeat coming from most major news outlets, not to even mention the near unanimous anti-Trump fervor among the Hollywood elite. That entertainment cabal is actively seeking out dissent among their own in the hopes of destroying it. Not only are you shunned if you stand against the tide, this week there were comments from icons like Judd Apatow and Seth McFarlane suggesting that entertainers who work for the same companies that employ those who disagree, should use their influence to silence the dissent.
If these same geniuses had been paying attention to their own industry for a minute instead of trying to force their collective political will down middle Americas throat, maybe they would have saved a few thousand of the young women and men victimized by liberal darlings like Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey and Roman Polanski.
Those guys, and very likely Bill Cosby as well, are thanking their lucky stars that the world seems far more preoccupied with the daily Trump crisis manufactured by their media accomplices than they are asking how the enlightened artistes enabled and empowered decades of hypocritical sexual predatory behavior, all with a wink and a smile.
Of course, the outrage of the moment concerns the illegal immigration laws of the country, which have been largely ignored by government leaders for the past 20 years, with predictably disastrous results. No need for me to revisit the details of the controversy, but suffice to say in the coverage the media, Hollywood Leftists and Democrat officials are wearing out the Nazi Germany metaphors and cliches like fat kids wear out Happy Meals.
As columnist Bill DAgostino pointed out at Newsbusters this week:
The Holocaust was invoked 12 times across CNN and MSNBC between June 15 and the 18th, generally in the form of comparisons between DHS detention centers and Nazi concentration camps.
On Friday, MSNBCs Joe Scarborough opened Morning Joe with a tasteless Holocaust reference: Children are being marched away to showers just like the Nazis said they were taking people to the showers, and then they never came back. Youd think they would use another trick.
Over the weekend, CNN political commentator Dave Jacobson threw a miniature tantrum over the policy. On Saturdays CNN Newsroom during the 10 a.m. hour, he opined, Donald Trump increasingly looks like Hitler in Nazi Germany. The following day, he appeared again on Newsroom in the afternoon to embellish on his already hysterical take: Increasingly, Donald Trump is turning this nation into Nazi Germany and turning these [detention centers] into concentration camps.
Perhaps we should remind Scarborough and Jacobson that unlike Nazi Germany, no one being temporarily detained by Homeland Security is subjected to medical experimentation, starvation or extermination. Unlike the Jews and other targeted minorities and political dissidents who fell victim to the homicidal torture and policies of the Nazis, the immigrants attempting to illegally access our borders came into our custody as a result of their own actions and choices. In fact, they are still lining up by the hundreds every single day to take their chances with our system. Unlike the Nazis, who rounded up innocent victims, no one here wishes them physical harm in any way, shape or form.
But hey, demonization of conservatives by the Left is nothing new. But I caution those who have declared Trump and his supporters evil you are galvanizing support for the man and his bull-in-a-china-shop attitude unlike anything you could imagine. The over-the-top histrionics are not recruiting new anti-Trump voters; in fact, many are considering his unconventional style as just provocative enough to bring much-needed reform to issues once thought untouchable.
Sadly, there are children involved in this immigration crisis, and according to longstanding policies and procedures (many of which were ignored by President Obama), there has been a temporary separation of some families while their intentions and status are sorted out. Under the obviously intellectually dishonest instructions of the previous administration, many of these illegals and their children were allowed to leave custody and return for an administrative hearing at a later date. According to several official estimates, the no-show rate for those hearings was around 90 percent.
Simply put, we have an unmanageable problem that requires a bipartisan fix, and before this showdown, virtually no will existed to force that solution.
I give President Trump credit for invoking the spirit of Abraham Lincoln in this matter, for it was President Lincoln who once said, The best way to get a bad law repealed is to enforce it strictly.
Or of course we could just continue to do what we are doing. Perhaps the Democrats, Hollywood and the mainstream media would back off if we came up with a better, more catchy description of these immigrant children who are separated from their parents for a short period.
We could call them very late term, temporary abortions.
But that would probably hurt their feelings.
So, they ARE homos...
Good to know.
Ping.
Don’t you mean NAZI drama queens calling President Trump a NAZI billionaire his 2nd term? No reply required.
Trump knows exactly what he is doing.
as if a Yale pedigree means anything at all, which it does not.
those decades of legacy appointments and free rides to the undeserving have come back home to destroy the reputation of the place. IMO
Could not agree more. Trump was not my primary choice but given where things have gone with the Lib wackos, I am 100% behind him.
Americans are just not used to having a president who didn’t come from academia or who wasn’t a lawyer. They aren’t used to someone who says what he means and means what he says. If voters will get off heir duffs and vote every Democrat out of office, he can and will turn this country around and “fundamentally change” this country BACK to what it once was.
Welcome to the club pal
Better late than never
Its been the same with hysterical shrieks of “racism” anytime you disagreed with them for about 3 decades now.
The fourth estate has long been communism's fifth column.
They are more likely to double down and repeat the lies.
Hopefully Trump won’t need a second term, for the sake of his family.
Get the country back on track with a full head of economic steam, get all the dark facts out and into textbooks so that the cabal can never reconstitute itself, and hand the White House over to someone like Nunes. Spend the rest of his days playing golf at Mar Lago and giving the occasional speech. Get his visage added to Mount Rushmore to reflect his proper status as a savior of the Union.
If we can get where we need to be by 2022, Trump won’t need to run again.
Correction, 2020

The uniparty and the enemedia should remember Pearl Harbor.
