Brittney Coelho arrived at her Harker, Tex. high school one morning, dressed in an outfit deemed appropriate by her schools dress code. But during the day, an assistant principal pulled her aside to point out an issue with her wardrobe the fact that Coelho wasnt wearing a bra.
It is not a requirement in the dress code at my school for me to wear a bra, the student tweeted. Stop blaming girlss outfits for boys not being raised right to respect women.
She then posted a photo of herself in the shirt she wore to school, without a bra, alongside a screen shot of Harker Heights High Schools dress code. The high-necked top seemed to cover up everything that the guidelines restricted, leading the student to conclude that the bra request was rather sexist.
The 17-year-old recalled the conversation with the administrator, a female assistant principal, for Yahoo Lifestyle, saying that she had asked Coelho if she was wearing a bra under her shirt, to which she responded no. The conversation took an even more uncomfortable turn when the administrator began to allegedly explain why that wasnt appropriate from pointing out that it would become more noticeable to others if Coelho was cold to telling her that she should cover up so guys dont stare.
The administrator did not immediately respond to Yahoo Lifestyles request for comment....

Her major in college will be manhate.
“i got dress coded today for not wearing this shirt with no bra... “
I wouldn’t mind pictures of that.
My experience has been different - I am quite pleased with today's women. I treat those worth knowing like women. The ones in my life act like women and treat me like a man.
There’s nothing “sexist” about it darlin’. Boys and girls are ....wait for it........DIFFERENT. You might as well learn to accept this fact. No amount of political will is ever going to change it. If you wear revealing clothing (or lack thereof), guys are going to notice. They are biologically pre-programmed to notice and they always will. It has nothing to do with how they were raised. Its biology.
Said like a good little beta. But if you are happy thats cool.
Yep. Openly. With gusto and big old you know what eating grin.
Yes, I was in high school. It was a glorious time.
“Lord, thank you for women.”
I've been on this earth for 50 years, and believe me, girls KNOW when they are attracting attention.
If they DIDN'T want it, they would wear more modest clothing.
I went to school in the late '70s, and EVERY one of my female classmates knew EXACTLY what they were doing.
Skin-tight Jordache jeans and form fitting shirts and tube tops.
(Which, by the way were banned in my school for that very reason, along with designer jeans that had zippers that went all the way to the waist.)
The exceptions to the rule were girls who had religious parents who made their daughters wear clothes that were non-revealing.
Yes they would.
Nobody is saying that. There is also a difference between mindlessly looking and being disrespectful. This young woman wants to punish the boys around her for mindlessly looking, when she knows full well that she is trying to draw attention to herself.
Bride of Pintor.
I mean, its not like the men stone the women to death there, or beat them, or rape them....
yes dressing from head to toe really has protected those women...
its probably more due to the fact that men are low on testosterone, and sperm counts, and need Viagra just to perform....and yes, then there's that homosexual thing going around...seems more than a few, like yourself, are going in that direction....
Wrong. Transgender individuals tend to produce an excessive amount of free floating adrenal androgens, leading to hyperandogenism (a very real physical condition with serious effects), one of which is altering how the brain perceives androgens. This change causes gender dysphoria, which leads to severe depression and drives many to suicide. No fucking joke. It is happening to my daughter, we have a team of endocrinologists working with her. The amount of disinformation on free republic about trans people is staggering.
