Brittney Coelho arrived at her Harker, Tex. high school one morning, dressed in an outfit deemed appropriate by her schools dress code. But during the day, an assistant principal pulled her aside to point out an issue with her wardrobe the fact that Coelho wasnt wearing a bra.
It is not a requirement in the dress code at my school for me to wear a bra, the student tweeted. Stop blaming girlss outfits for boys not being raised right to respect women.
She then posted a photo of herself in the shirt she wore to school, without a bra, alongside a screen shot of Harker Heights High Schools dress code. The high-necked top seemed to cover up everything that the guidelines restricted, leading the student to conclude that the bra request was rather sexist.
The 17-year-old recalled the conversation with the administrator, a female assistant principal, for Yahoo Lifestyle, saying that she had asked Coelho if she was wearing a bra under her shirt, to which she responded no. The conversation took an even more uncomfortable turn when the administrator began to allegedly explain why that wasnt appropriate from pointing out that it would become more noticeable to others if Coelho was cold to telling her that she should cover up so guys dont stare.
The administrator did not immediately respond to Yahoo Lifestyles request for comment....

In the ‘50s, when I was in high school, tight skirts were more common than hoop skirts with poodles on them. They were more distracting than braless girls.
Men have been staring at breasts ftom the day they are born. They are a source of food, comfort and warmth. Men will always stare at breasts.
Seriously, I'm a guy, I admit it, I have some very non-politically correct tendencies. I like to look at attractive people and things. It is my self control that keeps me from ogling pretty women.
When you start putting the onus on women to not be overly attractive to men, that's when you're headed towards hijabs and long shapeless smocks. Granted, it would be inappropriate for women to show up in daisy duke shorts and halter tops - unless you're playing Daisy Duke in a movie or play. ;-) The point of contention here I guess is where exactly is "the line" between socially acceptable attire for function (X) and inappropriate dress? At the extremes that's easy to define. The tough part is that gray area near the middle.
Yeah, as a MORAL, MODEST woman, I find that a complete stupid cop-out.
There’s a good chance the school has a policy on sexual harassment that includes provocative dress as an offense. Hope that makes the guys feel better.

BS. Western society has already been a lot more modest and decent WITHOUT ever being in full hijabs. I even recall recently reading about a Moslem, maybe Osama, who studied in AMERICA in the 50s and was so offended by the public dances our society often had back then, where the women were definitely more discreet than the sluttiness now.
Ah yes, no woman who wears a bra ever gets stared at
..!
Ma Maa
This is so gay!
Translation: *iss or get off the pot.
Why does society expect their desires to trump hormones and nature. Women stare at men too.
Lord, thank you for women.
Raise girls to respect thier bodies and wear proper clothing they know attracts attention.
They dress like whores and get to complain boys are looking and not respecting them? She doesnt respect herself to dress modestly, and neither does her mom or dad.
This is why, men, do not have anything to do with todays modern women. Everything is someone elses fault, ts never their actions or their fault. They are all trouble.
Both genders would get beter educations in separate schools.
LOL!
Women are also obssessed with their breasts. Little secret there.
