The headline should read, “Boy Scouts Welcome Girls In New Gender Neutral Scouts.” How hospitable. The announcement that the Boy Scouts of America will be dropping “Boy” from the name and admitting girls is sadly not surprising, but is extremely disappointing.
My son, now a toxically-masculine 29, was a Cub Scout, Webelo Scout, Life Scout, and third generation Eagle Scout. During his scouting years, we observed scouting changing with more moms getting involved, disallowing boys from being boys in many cases. In 2000, he changed boy scout troops shortly after graduating from Webelo Scout to Boy Scout in order to find a troop he felt met the true sense of “Boy” Scouting. He moved to Sacramento’s Troop 1, the oldest, continuous Boy Scout Unit west of the Mississippi River, started in 1916. He enjoyed Troop 1 for many years until he achieved Eagle Scout and graduated high school.
Does that mean the Boy Scouts of America brand and “BSA” are now available for someone to pick up?
Will the Girl Scouts also no longer be knows as the “Girl Scouts of America”?

Two of my grandchildren had Eagle Scout ceremonies, which I attended. Theirs was among the last real Boy Scout Packs that I knew.

They should create a girl's branch of the Boy scouts. Since the name Girl scouts are taken, suggestions include:
They should offer the Young Lady Scouts all of the activities that the Boy Scouts cover unless there is something just really inappropriate. And let them propose their own activities and merit badges as appropriate.
My Knights of Columbus COuncil has for many years sponsored boy scouts and cub scouts. Back when the BSA started accepting queer scout leaders we debated what to do over the course of several meetings then switched almost seamlessly to Trail Life which is explicitly Christian based. Everybody still calls them boy scouts.
It’s no longer “Boy Scouting”. Now, it’s “Scouting Boys”.
Boys in high and middle school will some time begin to see that they can be nr. 1 instead of second rate at physical things if they join the Girl Scouts as trannies. That is what is happening to womens’ sports. Women are being displaced by second rate men
I going to laugh my arse off the first time half the girls in the troop come back from the two week scouting jamboree pregnant. Human nature is human nature, especially when hormones and teens are involved. Boy’s Scout’s weren’t limited to just boys because some misogynist hated girls...

Unfortunately, this is the end game. This opens the door for more women to move into positions of control and the result will be that they will dictate what the programs are or what they will not be.
It will result in a takeover and remove all activities that benefit boys being boys and growing into good men and good citizens.
Let the reprogramming begin.
This girl-addition is not coming as a top-down instruction. It is coming from the parents who want all their children doing things together. It is not a mandate from above, it is rather an acceptance as to what all the parents doing scouts want.
I asked my son-in-law how things will be handled when the girls get older and he said that they will have separate camping (I don't know if he means separate camping as in separate tents or separate campouts.)
Imagine a mom who wants to be involved in scouts and wants to do scouting with her daughter and wants to be with her family, what would be wrong with scouting becoming a family thing?
I don't see it as a problem, especially when Girl Scouts is bad character education with their love of feminism and Planned Parenthood.
If the parents are in charge, and they are the ones running the troops, why should anyone tell them who they cannot add to the Scout experience?
Another lost battle of the culture wars
The Boy Scout Leadership put themselves in this position. They were fat and happy for many decades - rich corporate sponsorships and debt funded nice offices, high-paying positions, and fantasy building projects. The left has been attacking them since the 1990’s, but they didn’t realize the battle they were in.
The neo-marxists then knew exactly where to strike. First they used the typical legal approach, having gay scouts sue, etc... The BSA resisted even writing a “non gay” clause into its Constitution. SJW’s then turned their attention to the large corporations giving money to the BSA. That’s when the BSA finally caved.
For now on all camping trips should have one big all inclusive tent. Otherwise, it will be discrimination.
The ultimate goal is to take the ‘Boy’ out of Boys and the ‘Girl’ out of Girls.

It took 30+ years of constant propagandizing and cultural acclimatization to convince the upcoming generation that boys and girls, men and women, share the same interests, learn the same way, and have the exact same biology.

Renaming the group to be more inclusive is fine but who’s the idiot that came up with “Scouts BSA”?! What a stupid name. Why not just Scouts or “Boys and Girl Scouts of America” or something?
