Jesus didn't say that thing about "Give a man a fish."
Must have been either Shakespeare or the U.S. Constitution.
Otherwise, good article.

Heck yeah! Now when your guest house tenant gets busted selling drugs the DEA can seize the whole property.

OK with me, as long as they are restricted to Malibu, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, and Beverly Hills.

First, have the California leftist politicians bend over so that homeless guest houses can be jammed up their backyards.
To: davikkm
I have a grand idea if you have more than 1.5 bedrooms for every person in your home you must allow 2 homeless people to live in every excess bedroom in your house. The government will give you $200 per month per person for food and hygiene products. This way the rich Hollywood liberals can virtual signal and earn money at the same time.

I’m sure the estates of the moguls and people like BaBa Streisand would LOVE to have some little cabina’s on their property....THEY have PLENTY of ROOM, after all!

Guest implies just a day or two - not with these people. And who will take care of the mess they make and clean up should they leave, like in ever?

And I’m sure the state of California will never require more property taxes for those houses either.

Nancy Pelosi has a lot of space at her vineyard. I assume she has alresdy volunteered to house hundreds of homeless.

and they invite their friends, and they invite their friends. And at first, they only want to use the bathroom in the main house, then the kitchen, then there are so many of them they kick you out of your livingroom and personal items disappear and then they become hostile to you, the homeowner, being there at all. And with that, you go live in the tent and the ‘homeless’ move into your house that you pay the bills and taxes on, and you get fined for your house being a trash-ridden public nuisance and hauled into court for past-due utility bills, which you can't have cut off without being sued by the 'guests'..
no thanks

Go for it but don’t limit it to LA. Hollywood cretin elite have spacious backyards which could house hundreds of homeless with amenities.

Like that stupid guy who built a little shack for that homeless woman on youtube...
So many people said “Awww that’s so sweet”..
Then I asked- What are the neighbors going to think about a homeless woman’s shack on the street in front of their houses?
where will she go to the bathroom and clean up?
Is the city going to allow a shack on the street?
How will this affect property values?
I mean, nice sentiment.. really stupid idea.

Hollywood celebs first. They have estates that could house entire communities, and staff to pick up the needles, bottles and turds every morning.
