Disappointed!

Posted on 03/24/2018 7:25:22 AM PDT by tayper

I’m just an old fart and have gone through a lot of disappointments. But I told myself if this guy is for real, then we may still have a chance, so I voted for President Trump. Now to me he seems just like all the rest! 1.3T “budget” my rosy red butt!

I agree with you 100%, these fools that are now claiming to abandon Trump were never with him in the first place. Anyone who knows the history of warfare, be it political or shooting, knows there are battles both victorious lost. There are also strategic retreats, and I think this was one. In this case I think Trump signed it because Mitch McConnell was able to engineer a veto proof majority and because even with all the bad spending there is some much needed good spending for the military. So Trump, the strategist figured with a veto proof majority his veto meant nothing but we do get to fund the Pentagon to the level needed for the first time in 9 years so he signed, it was the path of least resistance.

Just a battle which appears to have been lost in a much larger campaign.

It is not over by a long stretch. So man up and get with program.

Yep principle is a great virtue but there are times when standing on it is counterproductive. By not going to the polls, here in WI, the radical leftist judge running for the state supreme court has promised to overturn all of Walker’s accomplishments and with vast amounts of Ca lib money pouring in, with the Bernie HQ located here as well as E. Holder coming here, the conservative in the race, who is a good conservative judge, is running an ad where he touts his tuba playing ...

He is not projected to win - particularity when conservative/republican voters stay home in this April’s election.

Wisconsin will get a Supreme Court predicated on the law being garbage and want ever the liberals say it is. (That’s the philosophy as spoken at a San Fran fundraiser by the female candidate who aims to restore to WI the lost San Fran values - extreme taxes, sanctuary state, homeless mobs, public defecation, etc.). Gone will be Act 10 (vastly lowering property taxes), concealed carry, right to work, welfare reform, and many more conservative reforms.

While none of that directly effects you personally, it is, as far as the liberals are concerned, a signal to pour mega dollars into the fall elections and begin the take over of the government, and the impeachment of DJT and Pense. With the US Senate in Dem hands there will be a Convict and Removal vote. Say hello for us to President Pelosi.

So sit on your principle and stay home, allowing the Dems to take over the US house and Senate. That will show them, right? Don’t worry about the 2A as the 1A will be gone in a flash with 2A following shortly under the coming Democrat Dictatorship where rights are what they say they are for whom they say are worthy. With the ending of the 1A, places like FR will be rapidly shut down, as will all other avenues of non-approved communications.

We will all congratulate you and your many fellow sit homers on your sagacity and foresight by showing the Republican Party who’s who and what’s what. Sadly, we will need to do this prior to the Fall elections - as afterward most of us will be in camps, behind bars, or just disappeared, Thank you, and good night.

Do you have any idea just what this man is up against? Did it ever occur to you that he IS different and that’s why the entire apparatus of the United States government is fighting him including members of his staff and members of his party, the establishment, 17 intelligence agencies and now his supporters are turning on him too?

He is different! If he was just a run of the mill Romney, Bush or Ryan they wouldn’t have to oppose him at all.

God, I don’t know what you people expect of one man standing by himself against all and still he has managed to get more done than any president in my lifetime!!

After reading some of the disparaging comments I have concluded that WE DON’T deserve President Donald Trump!!

Ryan and McConnel are bad guys.

***************

Elected to their positions and supported by many other bad guys. They fact is they wouldn’t be there if the Repukes had an ounce of conviction in them.

That’s great, you’ve got principles. Unfortunately you principles will mean jack shit if the dems ever win again. The only principle that matters in this political war at this time is winning. Winning is all that matters right now because if we lose and dems get 100% power, then this country as a Constitutional Republic is finished along with the Bill of Rights. So you can shove your principles right up your ass forever if we do not win this war for the soul of our country. To win a war one must sometimes dance with the devil, just like WWII when we had to be allied with the Soviet Union in order to win. But let your emotions rule the day, and that is a sure fire way to defeat. Start thinking you effing moron.

So, because I won’t vote for a phony “conservative” Republican(like say, a Jeff Flake or a Mitch McConnell)the collapse of America into a Neo-Marxist totalitarian state is MY fault and not the fault of an American public too stupid to live?

Yeah. Right.

Watch and wait a bit. This likely is not a defeat, even a temporary one. Notice that it is a spending bill, not a budget. Something is cooking here and it is not as the MSM would have us believe. Remember the “cave-in” on the DACAs? So how did that go? Trump did not even let it stew for a week. He signed it with alacrity. The Democrats are not going to get all the stuff they are shouting hosannas about.

We spend far more than $1.3T every year, so what’s your point in calling out $1.3T?? That’s only 6 months of the annual budget.

Seems you’re more of an anti-Trump troll than a concerned citizen.

I don’t think the Democrat-Communists saw this coming! They might not be so gleeful. The border wall construction begins on Monday!

The budget contains 1.6 billion for the wall. The wall needs about 20 billion to be built.

So that's funding for about 8% of the wall.

That's not good.

BTW, I am tired of bending over and pretending that I am enjoying the thrust of guys like Mitch, Ryano and now.....Trump. I refuse to even get myself into position, ever again. I was really beginning to like the latter. All shot to hell.

I LOATHE those who put their own careers and popularity over America and our posterity.

He said no such thing. The reason that Trump voted for this monstrosity is b/c he knows that guys like you are unwilling to upbraid him when he lurches left.

Unfortunately, not one repub, including Trump, campaigned on cutting the budget.

This has been my beef for many years.

Forget any recent “balanced budgets”. In my lifetime, fed spending has NEVER decreased.

I can agree with most of that.

Just Ryan and Mitch are protecting corrupt investments.

Trump is trying to drain the swamp.

Just not as easy and you or I can appreciate.
