The New Boss is Just the Same as the Old Boss? Trump Signs Monster Spending Bill
IWB ^ | Chris Black

Posted on 03/23/2018 12:37:09 PM PDT by davikkm

Pelosi and Schumer declared victory on Friday following President Trump’s fake veto, i.e. after The Donald signed a monster spending bill which blows the budget into oblivion. However, Trump promised  this will never happen again after signing the 1.3 trillion dollars omnibus spending bill that was passed by the Republican dominated Congress. The omnibus bill does not address the border wall nor immigration issues. Trump complained that the Congress “created a series of documents that nobody was able to read”, hinting at the 2000+ pages of documents passed by the legislature, with lawmakers having less than 36 hours to read it. Needless to say, Democrats were celebrating on Friday at the news that Trump will sign the omnibus bill, as the POTUS initially announced he may veto the spending bill, yet he changed his mind and signed it after all, despite “being unhappy about it”, to quote the President’s own words.

Nice language! No doubt you got that from your DU friends.

I'll argue with you when you are wrong, and you are.

This is going to be a long fight and losing a battle doesn't end the war.

This is the problem of the House GOP led by Ryan.

Trump wanted our military to get the funding it needed.

There will be other budgets and Trump won't be held hostage again.

Vetoing it would of not stopped it.

It would have stopped this thread and a few more.

A veto would not have accomplished anything if it was overridden.

It would have prevented these threads, or at least changed them to a positive.

Wow - you’re arguing with me?

You need to accept your loss and give up.

Come back when you win one.

Anone paying attention at the press brief knows he opted to not step into the Dem/RINO trap and then threw down the gauntlet - yet so many ‘soldiers” thinking about going AWOL to insure the war can’t be won - some of Y’all sound so much like the RINOs it’s ironic - perhaps that’s why Y’all don’t place the blame where it lies.

I think “genocide” is off the table here (and probably in South Africa as well, despite a comparatively small number of killings there). Here in the northeast, states are realizing that “white flight” spells doom for them. Companies and working whites fleeing has left them without a tax base, and trying to tax the welfare population (homegrown and imported) accomplishes nothing.

The goal now is economic subjugation of whites, and young whites have reacted by giving us a negative birthrate. They’ll keep their economic freedom to an extent, unhindered by mortgages or families, and will quietly go the way of the dodo - no genocide required. Here in NJ, the education industry is reversing itself and begging these young whites to stay here for college, and the state government is re-examining divorce laws (especially “alimony for life”) in a hopeless attempt to produce white children again.

A logical and principled thing to do. The Repukes have betrayed us time and time again. They talk tough when they want our votes but go right back to caving in the moment they get back to Washington DC, which is where their real constituients are. They work for the corrupt system, not us.

Mkay. Trump stages a photo opportunity at his prototype walls and a couple weeks later signs a bill forbidding their construction. Just watch his approval numbers. Just watch how the dogs of the special council get unleashed now that he is vulnerable. All Trump had was his base against everybody - Congress, Sessions and Mueller. Touting trinkets for the Navy will not change that.

I was in for Trump from the day he announced and I defy anyone to prove otherwise.

.....”Battle?...What battle?”....

Well that does explain how you see the political terrain. If there’s no battle than there’s no wins or loses.

Oh for crying out loud!

.....Only 5 month delay until round two got us our military exactly what is needed. If you can’t see ‘delay’ does not mean forfeiting the battle than I can’t help you.

Like by signing bad bills?

Only 5 month delay until round two got us our military exactly what is needed. If you can’t see ‘delay’ does not mean forfeiting the battle

I wish he had delayed the nonmilitary spending spree indefinitely. Much more of this budgetary "winning" and our now well equipped military may not have much to defend.
