Pelosi and Schumer declared victory on Friday following President Trump’s fake veto, i.e. after The Donald signed a monster spending bill which blows the budget into oblivion. However, Trump promised this will never happen again after signing the 1.3 trillion dollars omnibus spending bill that was passed by the Republican dominated Congress. The omnibus bill does not address the border wall nor immigration issues. Trump complained that the Congress “created a series of documents that nobody was able to read”, hinting at the 2000+ pages of documents passed by the legislature, with lawmakers having less than 36 hours to read it. Needless to say, Democrats were celebrating on Friday at the news that Trump will sign the omnibus bill, as the POTUS initially announced he may veto the spending bill, yet he changed his mind and signed it after all, despite “being unhappy about it”, to quote the President’s own words.

So disappointed in Trump today. He could have held his ground.
But the republican party is to blame for most of it. Ryan and mcconnell did NOTHING to help Trump or give him a bill he could sign . They are employed by special interest and never will serve the people who sent them there. We can’t seem to remove them/replace them... they have a strong hold and are getting rich on tax payers with doing favors for the money handlers. The ones I am most angry at are the republicans who, after all this, still want to remove Trump or neuter him.
If I were Trump, I’d think “I don’t need this” and to hill with Washington. I’m still a Trump supporter, but today he was as weak as the rest of them and that does not make for a pretty picture. If he has something up his sleeve we do not know about, he can redeem himself.. time will tell.
To pay all that money out to the most ridiculous reasons for things I’m 100% against, is vote busting! To give to planned parenthood... I saw a quote from a woman who worked there... she said she slit the babies’ throat so they could not cry/scream.. and they keep funding that organization!! How can people do such a thing! I do not know!!

I do know our military faired very well all things considered and I am all for prudent, economically feasible, essential defense spending. The problem is that the trade off will kill the country more than any enemy because America is its worse enemy. This would be the same bill signed by a President HR Clinton or Obama. Our government is rotten to the core. We wanted to KILL the British for a tax on Tea once. So the stage is set for a portion of our side to "stay home" at midterms and there you go. The rest will be Democrat history and victory.

Just another example if how any Real Conservatism is dead, and has been. The problem with so called Conservatism is that in itself it isn’t a real ideology.
In any event I have a collection of essays written by Dr. Sam Francis who over 20 years ago said so called Conservatism was dead and I think he was right. There may be a few out there but not in this congress, or not enough to make a real difference.
Trump, in my opinion, make a big mistake today. He should have Vetoed the Bill on principle alone and then let the chips fall where they may. This Bill stinks as much as the Obama Stimulus Bill, if not worse. Saying this is the last time he will sign anything like this is pretty hollow.
Trump, I am afraid, deserves a certain amount of blame here. When he Tweeted this morning he was considering Vetoing that bill he should have.
It’s a bad bill, just as bad as the Obama Stimulus Bill, and he walked right into it.

Maybe this wasn’t the hill to die on? He did not like the bill, nor wanted the bill but really, wasn’t much choice. A veto would have gotten over ridden anyways. Maybe he has something else up his sleeve or maybe he doesn’t want to be president anymore. I don’t blame him. If I was 70+ year old Billionaire, the last thing I would want to do is be in politics. I don’t know. I am disappointed, but I am going to stick with him and will vote (R) in primaries and the general.
