New Jersey -(Ammoland.com)- With the take over of the New Jersey Governors office by rabid gun banning Democrat, Phil Murphy, the first attack on NJ gun owners rights and property, of what will be many, has been launched. The proposed bill would ban most all the rifles and shotguns you currently own and legally bought under the current NJ laws.
Sponsored by state senator Senator Nia H. Gill this bill would strengthen the States current assault weapons ban by revising the definition of an assault weapon to include: rifles with detachable magazines and one military style feature; semi-automatic shotguns with one military style feature; and semi-automatic pistols with one military style feature.
You can read the bill here:
The current definition of an assault weapon sets forth a list of prohibited firearms and specifically includes any firearm that is substantially identical to any of the enumerated firearms. Under State regulations, a semi-automatic firearm is to be considered substantially identical to an enumerated firearm if it meets certain criteria. This bill codifies these regulations while expanding the number of firearms that would be considered assault weapons by adding criteria and reducing the number of criteria that must be met from two to one. For example, under current regulations, a semi-automatic rifle that has the ability to accept a detachable magazine and has at least two listed criteria would be considered an assault weapon.
These criteria include:
-a folding telescoping stock,
-a pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon;
-a flash suppressor or threaded barrel designed to accommodate a flash suppressor;

Does anyone in this God-forsaken state actually own a gun? I mean, aside from Camden baddies.
Remember the lie: no-one is coming for your guns. BS, they most certainly are, lying POS.
Leftist States, led by Kalifornia, have determined they do not have to follow Federal Law and/or the Constitution.
Unless and until some State politicians and bureaucrats are arrested, prosecuted, and jailed this behavior will continue.
Right. Because sooner or later the deer will turn on us.
No one needs to travel faster than 80 MPH and it is a well documented fact that "speed kills".
Likewise street racing is a danger everyone. Any car that exhibits the following is deemed a race car and is banned:
- Racing stripes
- Race numbers and/or flashes
- Spoilers
- Racing tires
- Felt dice hanging from rear view mirror.
I flew into Newark airport once upon a time, and all I remember seeing from the sky were baseball diamonds, and bodies of water that were flourescent green.
Even though Christie was far from ideal. Hed never do this. I doubt the republican nominee would have either had they won. Elections have consequences....dire ones.
True dat...
Several bills being debated in Washington state would require owners of "high capacity" magazines and "assault rifles" to license them through the state.
Add: Confederate flag with American flag decals.
Have you the article on that? I’d sure like to read it and see who’s behind it all. My dad just bought a Ruger 556 and has ten 40rd. magazines full. Them bar’s sure kin git finicky when they wake up in the spring.
Newark, Irvington and Trenton baddies, too. As for the unconnected non-baddies, forget it. Lots of "boating accidents".
“RELAX, no one is going to take your gun away” - or at least that’s what the Hillary supporters kept saying last year.
So much for that.
Not only for 2A violations, but for "sanctuary state" policies.
THIS is part of what libs are calling “common-sense” gun laws.
(coffee finally kicking in LOL)
You nailed it, they already have turned on us, I have had a deer run into the side of my car, we have totaled one car and had substantial damage to multiple others.
WV is the worst state for hitting deer by a wide margin.
Many people here regard them as rats with hooves.
“There should be a ban on all automobiles capable of more than 80 MPH and having one or more “racing” feature.”
I strongly disagree. Not too long ago the nationally enforced speed limit was 55!. I recall driving big trucks in that era, many were governed not to exceed 55, which meant passing anything was extremely dangerous as we often have to go a little faster for a safe pass.
I recall leftist articles in Motor Trend in the early 80’s condemning Bronco’s & Blazers and as well as fast sports cares.
I recall when Ford had a good thing going with the first Mustangs, then did a complete flip-flop with the Euro Mustang with a cheezy little 4 banger which ruined the Mustang name.
I really think their idea of a peon class car is the Chevy Volt while the elite drive anything they want.
