Oprahs speech was hollow, cliche-ridden, and did nothing to truly address Hollywoods YEARS of complicity to sexual harassment culture. Please dont underestimate Americans nor American women - plenty of whom watch Oprah yet still turned out in droves for Trump.
She is a good often underrated actress though, in films. More than a business mogul and talk show host for sure.
But the primary Democrat threat to Trump? NO.
Her speech as a launching pad of a new era? NO. More like the last gasps (or final hurrah) of an old one.
She's not going anywhere, but what I sensed from the show room last night was a bunch of people trying to reclaim the narrative over a culture that is slipping through their fingers -- because the old narratives, the old order of things and its rules just don't apply anymore. The covers are off and the anxiety is palpable.
If liberals use the Hollywood factor or media personality strategy, they will FAIL miserably.
Trump is beating them at their own game. Biggest show in town. It's just getting started and will have a happy ending.
Patronizing Hyperbole....
She cannot win. Most of her ideas are whatever happens to be in vogue at the moment. She doesnt know anything about public policy. Shes a multi billionaire who obviously doesnt have life experiences that assure the common touch. She has no political experience, none. Shes never run a city or a state. Shes just a celebrity in a celebrity obsessed country. What type of people would fall for that type of person?
Being sarcastic?
I see a parallel between the “Messiah” and “the Oprah” being touted for president on the basis of one speech. We know how that turned out.
“What type of people would fall for that type of person?”

Yeah,right!/s
.
So far, I’ve downloaded six pics of Oprah with the scumbag Weinstein. On one, she’s kissing him on the cheek. On the others, there seems to be at least “acted out” affection.
Do the word “hypocrite” mean anythin’ to ya there, Oprah?
Go ahead, run.
Hey, let Oph-pura run on the dim ticket.
We have already had an overweight, black, loud mouthed, liberal, questionably bisexual, entitled female in the White Hut...the First Moose Moochelle Obammy
You’re totally wrong about Oprah. Watch out for that one. She’d get the nomination unopposed. It would be all feelz like any lib campaign. She wouldn’t release her taxes and the Dems wouldn’t give a rip. She’d never get a tough question the whole campaign. There wouldn’t even be a campaign. The only work she’d have to do is the Presidential debates. It is scary.
It’s more of a warning.
Of course, I also thought no empty suit named Barack Hussein Obama who hides his birth certificate could become POTS.
Well I watched his speech from 2004 DNC Convention (Bush vs. Kerry election) - and I thought he COULD become POTUS.
Did NOT get that same feeling watching Oprah whatsoever.
Just think. Everybody that goes to her first state of the union address gets a free car.
Do a quick search for Oprah and Harvey.
There are some wonderful photos there.
I did the same after obama’s speech at the DNC. I knew he was put on the stage for a reason and he was. blech
My estimate: 235 pounds.
Its too easy being anti politics. Just wait a bit and some new clown walks in. Oprah? Really? So I guess Mumia Jamal was unavailable? Or is he next weeks clown?
Politics is a scam and were suckers for playing.
CNN was on when I was having a late lunch and they were replaying that speech. I rolled my eyes and sighed loudly when she made that speech, and to my surprise the few other people in the cafe at the time were all in agreement.
