I think if they had the capability of hurting the US they’d just go ahead and do it. A letter of warning is really a signal that they lack the ability to carry through on their threats. We have much less to fear when they are making threats. It’s when we can see through intel that they are doing something, but they aren’t talking about it that we have to worry.

We have no business being in Syria. President Trump’s stated goal was to defeat ISIS. which was a direct result of Obama’s insanity. We should leave, and be thankful Syria didn’t become Libya or Iraq.

On the other hand, there is no great positive in being in Syria, and if pulling out lets Syria and Turkey go toe to toe then that ties up resources those two places would otherwise throw against the west. Leaving Syria sounds okay but it isn’t the no brainer leaving Lebanon was.
