Glad you asked. I didn’t recognize his name either, so Googled. He heads up a law firm in Birmingham. His official bio at the firm’s website mentions only his undergrad alma mater, Alabama State. No mention of his law school.
Further Googling reveals he attended the Birmingham School of Law, which is not accredited by the ABA. It’s graduates having a passing rate of 18% on the bar exam, compared to 73% statewide.
I’ll give him credit for managing to create his own firm and get some national recognition. But don’t see him as a particularly serious “analyst.”
