Those gender studies degrees are pretty useless.

Millennials Can’t Handle Reality, Are We Doomed?

They think everything happening to them is new, that nobody before them went through a "crisis" the same.

Who did not buy a new car too many or run up credit cards in their 20's?

I know it's fashionable to consider Millenials a bunch of self-absorbed Obamabots. However, I don't think it's elderly National Review readers who are buying all of Milo's books or going to his speeches - which are NOT about "me me me" but something bigger.

Deplorable parents are undoubtedly advising Deplorable millenials to hang up when a telemarketer calls, or walk away from dopes with clipboards, thus causing an underweighting in polls. Thus, any poll etc speaking of Millenials being this or that are suspect.

Finally, remember that by most accounts, at the time of the Revolution, 20% were Loyalists, 33-45% were Patriots, and the rest were ballast. If you replace Loyalist with statist, and Patriots with Deplorables, we are right where we started.

I thnk we are seeing history repeat itself. The left/Loyalists are painting the Patriots/Deplorables as intransigent dolts who must be brought to their knees and Kiss the Ring, for their own good. In turn, the Patriots/Deplorables are not going quietly into the night, using new media to outsmart the Establishment and bring otherwise neutral parties to the side of truth and freedom.

In turn, the kids of Deplorables likely are as much "underground" as are their parents in polls, etc. The whining Antifa losers get all the airtime. Where the Deplorable, responsible Millenials ARE visible, among other places, is on memes and the like....have you ever seen how many pro-Trump meme pics there are vs anti-Trump? I doubt that's coming from a bunch of geezers. And, younger military personnel are, well, MILLENIALS.

Thus, I wouldn't so easily assume the millenials are largely commies or narcissistic oafs.

I think they will figure it all out over the course of the next 7 years or so.

When I was very young, I thought bees were friendly. I wanted to pick one up. My brother told me not to. But I did anyway. I learned a lot about the reality of bees very quickly. It blew away all my misconceptions and taught me a lesson that has stayed with me the rest of my life.

Millenials are facing the reality that there are few “ defined benefit plans” out there anymore regarding retirement...

Instead they need to go work for the government, losing their individuality, or see the reality that the bashing of business success that will drive the value of their 401k is a loser if they follow the Dem mantra.

They are facing catch 22’s all around and may just wake up that they have been feed a pack of lies in their educational experience...

Like Tonto said to the Lone Ranger when they got surrounded by 2000 Comanches...”where do you get that “we”? Paleface”.

If the millennials can’t handle reality, it isn’t going to affect “us” much.

So: the typical millennial doesn't think his job is fun, he's looking to Tinder to find true love, he's buried in student loan debt with a degree that doesn't pay, and he's not buying a home despite record low interest rates -- mostly, if truth be told, because he's postponing marriage and doesn't want to commit to anything that would tie him down.

And these things are the world's fault, not the result of questionable priorities and bad decisions. Electing Bernie would have solved these problems, because socialism would engage in massive levelling, thus eliminating the status anxiety caused by resentment of peers who made better choices. This is why the millennials are drifting left. Got it.

God is not mentioned; He is apparently not a factor in any of this.

They’ve been brainwashed into demanding free stuff from those of us who work for a living. Wage redistribution. It’s a commie thing.

It feels good to point at the stupid kids and laugh for being foolish at a point in their lives when they should expect to be foolish.

I wonder who is going to be laughing when all that bad student loan debt has to be written off the balance sheets because a critical mass of millennials can’t pay those debts so they can turn around and get into mortgage debt so that shell game can stay propped up.

When I was in my late teens and early 20’s I worked three Jobs and went to Night School.

I didn’t have time to have a quarter life crisis.

Toward the end of the article there was this nugget:

Success takes time. But in today’s instant gratification culture, too many are far too inpatient. Take a deep breath. Put in the work. One day, you will be happy and working in a job that you enjoy and find worthwhile. It won’t happen overnight and you won’t get there right away. But that is life. The struggle is the journey. You will find your happy place sooner or later.

I had this discussion with a millennial this week at work. Sincere, highly motivated, fairly good worker, but wants to be doing what I do (actually just what he sees of my job-if he shadowed me for a day, it would be a different story) and attempted to try it.

When he asked me what he should be doing, I told him to do the work he was hired to do well and eventually there will be a time for an idea he could execute and there will be a time he's tapped for a project or a different position. (That's the culture in our workplace)

He turned white as a sheet when I told him I did that for twelve years before earning the position I currently have.

I have to say I have a great job and to a twenty-something in our field it can look glamorous. He's the fourth one I've spoken with about doing what I do. However, they don't see the crap work and high-level accountability that comes with the fun stuff.

Reality will have to outweigh liberal fantasy land if Millenials are to change. Too bad they have an education system, media, and entertainment industry that have filled their minds full of liberal gunk their whole lives.

And furthermore, should they experience an economy that ran at 3% before Obummber, hopefully they will reward Trump and other politicians for allowing capitalism to happen.

What a load of crap. So everyone who was born between year X and Y is a loser?

The stupid burns.

I work with and know numerous young people who are absolutely awesome in spite of the continuous screwing they’re getting from the political class.

Politics is a scam and we’re suckers for playing.
