When David Crosby & Friends performed at The Regent Theatre in Arlington, Massachusetts on Monday, the show featured more than just his famous hits.
The singer spoke out against President Donald Trump during the show. Following the concert, an attendee reached out to the founding member of Crosby, Stills & Nash on Twitter, asking Crosby to stick to music.
"Don't you realize that you will piss off 1/2 of your audience or at least 1/3 in liberal areas when you do that?" the fan wrote in a tweet mentioning the singer.
In response, Crosby said:

In a following tweet, Crosby shared that he will do what he wishes during his performances.
Crosby has spoken against Trump for some time. In an interview with the IndyStar earlier this fall, he spoke of performing Neil Young's "Let's Impeach the President" while touring and compared Trump to previous presidents.
"We thought we had it bad with Bush, but now we have a guy who's 10 times worse than Bush," Crosby told the IndyStar. "I've been trying to write a song about Trump, man, but he's so egregiously bad that I haven't managed it, yet."
Stills, Nash, and Young aren’t working with him these days.
No problem, Dave. I sure will stay away. Hey Dave, do you know how ridiculous and hate-filled you sound, like somebody off their meds?
Hell, he got kicked out of the Byrds for the same stuff 50 years ago!
It’s a marketing ploy - tell them they can’t go to make them want to. The only reason I would have to go to his concert is to spite him. Not worth the $100 it would cost.
Knowing the third-rate casinos he probably plays in 20 minutes on the nickel slots could probably get you a comp ticket.
Good for you. I walked out of a seminar last week when one of the presenters began her answer to a mans question by saying. I see you sel identify as male.
Some performers you expect to mouth off during concerts. If I saw Uncle Ted and he DIDN’T mouth off about politics I would feel cheated. Likewise Crosby (whom I would NOT patronize). These days it is no secret who is going to spew vitriol during a performance. That said, I HATE being sandbagged with politics at a show. I walked out on Rodger Waters for his Trump bashing. Research would have told me to expect it, but all I was thinking was about the great Pink Floyd music I was going to hear. My bad.
I went to see him and Nash anyway. They opened with 8 miles high/Byrds. He’s got someone else’s liver. Lucky to be here.
We thought we had it bad with Bush, but now we have a guy who’s 10 times worse than Bush,”......................... Bad? What was bad? No free drugs? Can he be more explicit? The way the economy is going at the moment doesn’t seem to be that bad. I guess there are far more important things than the economy and jobs. The biggest turn off for me is the late 60’s, I can’t think of anything good that came from the Hippy years, especially the clothes styles and psychedelic colors. Sex, drugs and booze, yeah that’s life man. s/
I’m just surprised leisure suits never made a comeback.
This cranky old has-been still does concerts?
Even if you were a fan back in the late 1960's, if you're a Trump supporter today you probably wouldn't want to pay to see this guy perform no matter how bad the wife begged you to go.
It's kind of sad seeing a guy his age still begging for attention. Reminds me of Gloria Swanson's role as Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard.
I read his autobiography some years ago.
That, right there, was enough to convince me that, other than the fact he can play guitar and sing, this man has NOTHING else of value to offer.
He’s a brain-dead, self-indulgent Id run wild, and always has been.
No problem David!
What a fool
He still thinks it 1969 and he is a voice
It’s pathetic
Long Time Gone..... David
I’d hate to be his promoter
Nash says of a possible CSNY reunion. So Id be totally up for it even though Im not talking to David and neither is Neil. But I think that were smart people in the end and I think we realize the good that we can do.
Yep, these guys can't even get along with each other - and We want them to tell US how to handle the Country's affairs? In the sixties they were anti-establishment now they're 'totally a part of the Democrat Establishment'... Would NOT be the same this time around...Grow up boys.
He’s alive only because money and celebrity got him moved to the top of the liver donor list. Too bad, he took someone else’s place.
I was a long-time fan (since late 60s) until CSN’s support of Kerry in 2004. I realized then that it had always been about the money and their anti-war, anti-Washington, love the one you’re with didn’t apply to conservatives. (How naiive to discover they were phonies and their lyrics were pretty lame to boot). I went to many of their concerts but not after 04.
I wonder if Dave has any of his own teeth left?
He’s playing here in two weeks at the Country Music Hall of Fame theatre
800 seats
Tickets 60-120
I’d considered it given the fixture they were in my revolutionary youth
Wifey is younger so not her thing
Won’t go now
I called a booking agent friend of mine
Crosby is paid 18,000 a show now and half of the sales after promoter nut
It’s ok for 76
I always felt sorry for him
Forever the pied piper of hippiedom while the rest of us moved on
No problem, Dave.
