Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is launching a circuit court confirmation blitz.
The top Senate Republican teed up votes to install four nominees to the powerful appellate courts, which give the final word on the vast majority of cases that dont reach the Supreme Court.
The nominees that McConnell teed up include Allison Eid for the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, Stephanos Bibas for the 3rd Circuit, Joan Larsen for the 6th Circuit and Amy Coney Barrett for the 7th Circuit. Eid and Larsen are among the names Trump floated during the presidential campaign last year as potential Supreme Court picks, adding more significance to their confirmations to the appellate courts.
Eid and Bibas were reported out of the Senate Judiciary Committee earlier Thursday. Nominees typically have to wait a day after a committee vote before they can be considered on the floor, but Democratic senators gave consent to speed up the process in exchange for not working on a Friday, a McConnell spokesman said.

Wow, four of them? At this rate, they might fill all the vacancies by 2025.
Maybe like those lazy mean girl rats he does not want to work Friday either.
The Turtle got Trumped !
Everything else is at #11 downwards. Thus McConnel sees his job on the line for maybe the 1st time in his life.
RATs have been slow walking these nominations. Did Mitch change the 30 hour per nominee rule ?
No he didn’t change the 30 hour rule. And he won’t. Because he likes slow-walking conservative judges too.
“The Turtle got Trumped !
Either jump on board the Trump Train or get ran over.
LOL!
The wrath of Don....?
I’m no McConnell fan, but even before the Trump Administration, he had a reputation of fighting hard for conservative judges.
The ol’ rule that even your worst enemy has at least one redeeming quality holds true here.
They must all be so exhausted, having to show up for several votes on Thursday. /s
Must be half price Kennedy-Dodd sandwich and martini night.
Nobody's fooled.
