This is yesterday’s broadcast of the show for Savage fans in case you are interested.
Savage is calling for a ban on full auto firearms and silencers.
Because people do not “need them”.
He is also calling for TSA security level screening at hotels.
Not kidding. Heard it on his show today.
“More questions than answers”
Savage has been getting on my nerves lately. He thinks way too highly of himself.
Yesterday, he was asking how this shooter could have afforded his suite at the hotel...Answer: credit cards...especially if you know you’re not going to be around to pay the bill.
Today, he went on and on about how could someone bring in that many weapons and no one became alarmed...Answer: weapons can be disassembled...also, LV is a convention city...convention participants are known to lug a huge amount of stuff into their room.
Savage is getting more whiny than usual...especially since he got on this religion kick.
Savage runs hot and cold but the program is usually very entertaining when he isn't ranting like Levin.
I've always thought Savage was a liberal posing as a conservative for the money. At times, he seemed like a caricature of the real thing.
Yep, I enjoy listening to his stories. He’s very knowledgeable on many subjects and 99% of the time I like his analysis of current events.
BUT when it comes to Christianity, he’s knows just enough to be dangerous.
You're probably right. In 2006, he gave the maximum allowable contribution to Jerry Brown--aka Governor Moonbeam--who was running for Attorney General in California against a conservative. When I heard that, I stopped listening to him and have never since tuned in to his show.
I'm a non-gun-owning, non-NRA member, who fears governments much more than occasional madmen. I suggest Savage learn from Federalist #28 (Hamilton - you know the strong central government guy.)

Savage was literally the front gatekeeper for Timothy Leary’s druggo whacko estate refuge in upstate New York.
Later he was buddies with that degenerate boy-loving America-hating, self-described “poet” Allen Ginsberg who in writing celebrated his penchant for molesting boys.
Savage was friends enough with Ginsberg that in one letter recovered years later Savage described wanting to do something sexual to Ginsberg’s COLON —don’t freaking ask me.
I’ve never had the slightest doubt Savage is completely straight but it’s true that for his whole life Savage has wanted to be accepted by the “in” crowd. He has cut corners and has misrepresented himself to that end, sometimes dramatically.
Meh, ambition is fine, and Savage is hugely talented, there’s no doubt. I don’t begrudge his own success and I lavishly celebrate that of his wonderful son and wife. Savage is a great story-teller, genuinely hilarious and he has a great feel for what will help or kill a show.

Forget it, not in a million years. Give him enough time and Savage will bite you savagely, wantonly and needlessly. Even for NOTHING, if he’s in the mood (which constantly changes).
Basically Savage is as unfair and is guilty of the type of ready betrayal as that he regularly accuses his former Profs of.
Savage is a skilled, bewitching SNAKE, befitting his background.
Listen if you like —I don’t anymore— but only a fool would rely on Savage over the long term.

Savage seems to alternate between being an insufferable world class New York asshole and an amusing jagoff. I turn him off when he goes off the rails.
Not sure about the story behind Timothy Leary as not heard that before but Savage just said something that bothered me.
Something about owning decommissioned Russian military tanks.

Saw a story once about an American who owned a decommissioned Russian helicopter. He landed it in a field and a bunch of Americans came over too him except one ex military guy who knew what it was and was a bit taken by it. Wondered why it was there and if we were being invaded until an American came out of it.
With that said would not mind owing a WWII German tank. Those were cool as it took two people to drive it. One forward and one in reverse. Now no am not going to drive down the street and blow up everyone but would love to go into a field with a buddy and drive it around for shits and giggles.
To some degree I see what Savage is trying to say but don’t feel it would work.
Besides it called capitalism. Old military surplus is just fun, I’m sorry Savage can’t enjoy it the way we do.

Savage has always been uninformed when it comes to firearms. Two subjects I immediately turn off his show: weed and firearms, he is clueless about both.
I’ll agree with you on that, but most everything else he’s dead on.
He can tell libs off in a new york minute so why is he on this gun thing?
It’s just one of those subjects where Savage is liberal. He doesn’t know much about guns and it shows. He says he owns an AR but I doubt he has ever even fired it. His views on marijuana are about as uneducated and ridiculous. I’ve been listening to Savage since 2001 but sometimes you just have to turn him off.
