Addressing the nation on Monday, President Trump said the Las Vegas shooting was an “act of pure evil.” This much is true. With more than 59 killed and over 527 injured at the Route 91 Harvest Festival after a gunman opened fire for over ten minutes from the thirty-second floor of Mandalay Bay, my prayers go out to those in Vegas or those who have lost loved ones.
This is undoubtedly a tragedy and one that has rocked the nation. It shows how vulnerable we all are at the whim of a supposedly deranged man. But it also reveals how there are so many more good people out there than bad. The heroics of our law enforcement on the scene and other everyday Americans helping others amidst the chaos that erupted in Vegas on Sunday night reminds us all how fortunate we are to live in this country where most of us respect and love each other.
However, there are many questions and suspect storylines evolving as the dust is settling after the greatest mass shooting in recent American history was perpetrated.

If he was a psychopath, and he had no ethos, then why did he choose a country music gathering, populated mainly by conservatives, about one hour after “God Bless America” was sung? And, why are Democrats jumping all over this seeking to criminalize the NRA, NRA members and anyone who owns a gun?

Perhaps... large single room (lots of windows) and deep enough for the shooter to be standing deep in the room. not near the window. perhaps standing on a platform. perhaps requiring a platform (the bed?) to achieve the downward angle. thought out in advance knowing the muzzle flash would be visible.

All this with no chatter required coming from the concert venue itself, but in three minutes, hotel staff would being hearing the first curious chatter from their radios and messaging systems.
Was the window busted out?

There are a couple of Youtube videos up now showing the these “muzzle flashes” from different perspectives.
From those videos, it appears that the room is about the 12th floor. The lobby area is high, so saying the “4th floor” may not be accurate, depending on the vantage point.
In any case the flashes from the lower floor room are seen about one third of the way up the building.
That is a strobe light. I listened to a recording of the scanner traffic during the incident and an officer specifically mentioned a strobe light around the 4th floor and that it was not muzzle flashes.
If you watch the video it is constant and continues flashing when there’s no audible shooting.
Definitely not muzzle flashes.
The VERY last thing a liberal reporter would ask about a liberal elite killer would be his political 'feelings'... or groups he was involved with...
The killer was a a white liberal elite who was unable to accept responsibility for his own life and his life's failures then takes out his hatred on Trump supporters.

I would like to see a comparison photo of that same location in the daytime. It does look like it is coming from lower in the building.

If it was a strobe light from the fire alarm system, the entire floor and hallway would be involved, not just one room.
My recollection of being in hotels when the strobes went off, it is not continuous. The strobe flashes for 3-4 times, then stops, then starts up again. Otherwise you would be disoriented.
On other videos, the flashes synch with the sound closely.
Shts from a second location would totally change the narrative.

That’s what speculation is, isn’t it? Once all the facts are known, there’s no longer any guesswork.
All police investigations start out with some kind of hypothesis before gathering the real evidence don’t they? Seems to me that’s what’s going on here.

I never said it was from a fire alarm, and neither did the officer that reported it on the scanner recording, he only pointed out that it was a strobe light and not muzzle flashes.
Could be why he busted two windows out, airflow....
This was terrorism.
It was also a massive hate crime.
Who he choose for his victims speaks volumes about who he was.
