An active duty Army officer who recently graduated from West Point showed his disdain for capitalism by revealing a hidden message written under his hat (often referred to as a cover in the military) that said communism will win in a picture spreading across social media.
Over the weekend Spenser Rapone, an officer with the United States Army, posted a picture from his Twitter account (@punkproletarian) featuring a picture of himself in his military dress attire showing a hand written message saying COMMUNISM WILL WIN, while also holding up his clenched fist in a well known communist salute.
The tweet contained a single hashtag, #VeteransForKaepernick, a nod to NFL player Colin Kaepernick who started the trend of kneeling during Americas National Anthem, which is played prior to his football games. Since Kaepernicks act of protest against perceived injustices against minorities in America, more NFL players have followed his lead, which has resulted in thousands of fans burning their teams jerseys and gear to show their disgust at the politicizing of football.
Spenser Rapone followed up with an additional tweet, just in case there was any lingering doubt about his message, showing him opening his dress coat to reveal a t-shirt with the face of late Marxist revolutionary and guerrilla leader Che Guevara, a common hero of socialists and communists.
Spencer Rapone confirmed the authenticity of the photo in a comment to LawNewz, but is in the field until Friday and was not able to answer more detailed questions.
Internet sleuths later found an Instagram account sharing the same username as Rapone, @punkproletarian, which featured various images supporting communist propaganda and a card that had the phrase Kill every last capitalist written on it in glitter, along with the famous communist hammer and sickle logo.
Rapones Instagram avatar features a picture of himself, but he has since made the account private. However, icons of a star along with the communist hammer and sickle appear at the end of his tagline.
Ironically, America and its system of capitalism has provided Rapone with a life of prosperity well beyond what any socialist country could ever offer, along with the opportunity to become an Army officer, although that fact appears lost on him.
The obvious question is, if Rapone has so much hatred for America and capitalism, then why join the United States military and fight to defend the values and freedom in which the nation was founded upon?
Only Rapone can answer that, but I cant imagine soldiers under his command trusting his judgment, orders or ability to defend them should America enter a conflict with a communist country. In fact, it wouldnt be hard to imagine Rapone ditching his Army uniform in favor of an outfit featuring the communist hammer and sickle logo in order to fight against the capitalist values of America that he is supposedly sworn to defend.
The fact that someone who spreads a message such as kill every last capitalist and admits he hates capitalists, and by extension America, is going to be leading young Americans into battle should be cause for concern among every citizen who loves their country as well as his fellow soldiers.
Good deal. The U.S. Military Academy will either gain or lose respect with their decision. He needs to be booted.
jeez! that guys a screaming queen. Who gave him an appt. to WP??
Just how is is taking his oath? On the Communist Manifesto?
“I, _____, having been appointed an officer in the Army of the United States, as indicated above in the grade of _____ do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservations or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter; So help me God.”
I hope some senior officer takes a gander at this snowflake.
He may be trying to get out of the obligation to serve on active duty after graduation.
Without a doubt he also believes it, but choosing an ideology that we've already defeated and saying that it will win, while you're wearing a US uniform, is pretty surreal and bizarre.
Some politician intent on having a unified Army.
Yup.
Naval academy graduates are commissioned as Ensigns, IIRC.
Or as a Marine 2LT.
On another site I frequent there is a man who claims to have identified this "soldier" and has reported him to his commanding officer. The man claims that this is part of his job as a member of the active duty army.
The man also claims that the "soldier" pictured appears to have violated numerous clauses of the UCMJ, and will likely be drummed out of the service.
He needs/deserves a swift Court Martial.
He’s not a Squid. He’s a Woop.
Glitter. This is what you get when homos serve openly.
Gee...hope he doesn’t accidentally fall overboard or anything.
Free education, had no intention of a career.
I knew an Air Force Captain(reserve) working as a civilian who claimed to be an anarchist. He was very up front about it. He said he went to the academy for the free education and toed the line long enough in the AF to get them to send him to graduate school at Caltech. After that he got vocal and sank his career, didn’t care since according to him he didn’t need the AF anymore.
Meanwhile all the global elite will be living high on the hog on private islands and fenced in mansions.
Communism always was an attempted restoration of the Aristocratic system we overthrew in 1776.
Oops. West Point not Annapolis. Oh well...hope he doesn’t fall into the Hudson.
He’a a GRADUATE?
He’s a CO?
How would you like to serve under him?
He should be relieved of his command forthwith, and remanded to custody for Court Martial.
I know in my day Communists and Nazis were barred from the US military and all federal employment.
Because it was supposed to be Hillary’s turn.
He would have lead the fast track for advancement.
That's the first thing I thought, too. He's pulling a Corporal Klinger to get out. I'm sure he won't be turning in his diploma along with his sword and bars, though.
He has violated his Oath as a Cadet, The West Point Honor Code and his US Army Officers Oath.
A Dishonorable Discharge seems in order, upon which I believe by law he would be obligated to repay all costs associated with his training.
