Gramnesty’s bill rearranges the Obamacare deck chairs. If it get’s passed they’ll say they repealed and replaced and we’ll be stuck with it forever.

No, it moves the ball down the field in the right position. Paul is letting the perfect be the enemy of the good. If the GOP gets more senators in 2018, they can revisit health care and improve it. Passing this bill improves the possibility of getting more senators. Failing to do something decreases the possibility of getting more senators.

If Obamacare can survive until October 1st, we’re virtually certain of being stuck with it forever. Which suits Rand Paul to a T. He and his family are exempt from Obamacare. He has the luxury of imposing it on others without incurring any personal discomfiture.

If it gets rid of the mandates, it will implode even faster. That is the only way it can be killed. It will never be put down by our politicians because any repeal “hurts” too many people. It’s really political suicide. So we get this, grab some popcorn, and watch the fun.

I agree completely. If they pass this, why would they ever revisit it? Would they repeal their own bill? Also, now when Medicaid fails, they can blame the republicans...

Wrong. If the bill isn’t passed we’ll be stuck with Obamacare forever.

If a bill is not passed to repeal and replace Obamacare we’ll be stuck with it forever.

If Republicans will not do the job then Democrats will repair Obamacare on a bipartisan basis and the end result will be worse than what we could have had.
