White House Betrayal: Won't Insist On Border Wall Funding For DACA Amnesty
Hidden Americans ^ | 09/12/2017 | Richard Saunders

Trump's legislative affairs director has given up all leverage by telling the press that the White House is not demanding wall funding for Amnesty for DACA recipients, saying the administration is “most interested in getting border security” and that Trump believes a barrier “is important to that equation of border security.”

“Whether or not that is part of a DACA equation or whether or not that’s another legislative vehicle — I don’t want us to bind ourselves into a construct that makes reaching a conclusion on DACA impossible,” Short said during a breakfast.

Meanwhile, Schumer and Pelosi are cheering the White House surrender. They can already see Trump and the Republicans abandoning the wall and giving into amnesty with no crackdown on illegal aliens or real increased border security.

"That's a very, very good thing and good progress," Schumer said. "I've told him (Trump) over and over again. At one point he said, 'go easy on the wall.' I said no."

"Look, I made it so, so clear to the president that there's not going to be a wall in the appropriations process or in others," Schumer added.

“We’ve been very clear: There is no wall in our DACA future. It’s just not going to happen,” Pelosi said in a small roundtable with reporters, recounting her conversations with Trump. “I think it’s immoral, I think it’s expensive and ineffective. And so we’re not going to that place.”

‘You pass it, I’ll sign it, I want some border stuff.’ That’s what he said,” Pelosi recounted. “We always want border stuff, so that’s not a problem. Especially with all the technologies.”

My mother, a 3rd generation American, didn’t know English when she started school. I couldn’t communicate with any of my great grandparents unless one of my older relatives translated because they, the great grandparents, didn’t know any English even though they lived here in the US for decades.

Let me take a stab at FR Checkers:

MSM tell you to jump....you dutifully ask them “how high”.

The title of this article doesn’t even match the quote they base it off of. But damn if people here can still be tweaked like it’s nothing.

The idea that we would be sending 800,000 15 year old’s back to Mexico is ludicrous. Most of the invaders are much older than that. Darn few , relativley speaking, are ‘hard working college students, 3000 have already been deported for criminal behavior and most are not even high school graduates, -another crop of future welfare dependents.

The pandering politicians will be all over the sob stories like that to line up future votes with no regard to the harm that’s done to our country long term.

What you say may be true, but....

How does Trump do it without the Republicans in Congress making it happen?

I don’t think he’s at fault here. Maybe some conservatives will sit it out but just the STUPID ones. Everyone else realizes that Mitch and Ryan are the obstructionists. Forget Pelosi, forget Schumer.

If McConnell and Ryan wanted to help the President enact his agenda, the agenda we all voted for, they would do it, and this article wouldn’t be necessary.

The enemy is our Republican Congressional leaders.

Donald Janus Trump has gone Demcrat on us again for now.

Perhaps at some point in his presidency he’ll switch back to our side again—despite having filled his WH with liberal Democrats and neocons.

And, once again, wrong.

The point of stripping away any “good” leisglation from a “pure” DACA bill is that Trump is giving the Rs no cover at all to back such a bill. With no Wall funding, Rs will be on the hook for supporting a pure amnesty . . . which, of course, most of them won’t do.

It will be a repeat of the post-Brat election, which is to say, it will neither pass the House nor Senate. I’m less sure about the Senate, but quite certain a “DACA only” bill will never pass the House.

Trump is not a dictator It seems you are not aware of 3 branches of government.
And in the case of Trump there is a conspiracy it seems between the other 2 against him.
Now he’s doing a great job even with the swamp miring him down. It’s up to us to correct the other 2. We need to primary and vote out those blocking him

Trump will do some end runs. He has and will get stuff done.
