Of the hundreds of qualified sports reporters and former players they could have chosen from, ESPN decided to impose their latest example of diversity in action with Sergio Dipp, one of their Desportes reporters, who got his shot on the sideline during the Chargers-Broncos Monday Night Football broadcast, and instead of talking about the game, he decided to highlight... diversity.

I attended a Court of Honor event with my boy’s Boy Scout troop where a very impressive young man received his Eagle Scout badge and scarf. He specifically requested it be held on 9/11, as he wanted to honor the victims and heroes of that fateful day. The church was packed, there were tears and smiles, and a fine young man received his Eagle. Better time spent than watching the game, I can tell you that.
Was it my imagination or did she keep referring to Defenders as “guys”?
I’m still trying to figure it out: Are the powers that be THAT FREAKING stupid as to allow people like last night’s crew for the late game to work, or is their some sinister plot to destroy the game of football by INTENTIONALLY driving away the very people (white, 25-50 year old men with money)that fund the league with their fandom?!?
Appropriate name.
This is the first opening weekend where I've not watched any games since I was a small boy. No kidding.
NFL/ESPN is in big trouble if they've lost me.
See my post #46. GMTA.
I gave up the NFL when they had Jimmy Kimmel doing pre-game. 1999, maybe? His attempt at bathroom humor failed.
So, I was surprised to hear Limbaugh blaming *the diversity system* for putting an inexperienced reporter on the field to spout crap that has already been shown to damage ratings.
Then there was a clip of the guy whining about social media for not supporting him [not doing the job viewers expected of a real sideline reporter].
Yet another reason not to watch ESPN:
“ESPN Anchor: Donald Trump Is A White Supremacist”
Dipp...contraction of Dippshit.
Bears repeating
Let me see if I’ve got this correct.
According to ESPN, the Mexican Sergio ‘Diversity is my theme, meme, message’ Dipp is OK, while the American Robert Lee is not ?!
ESPN/Disney sux!
Oh my god, NOBODY WANTS TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR BACKGROUND! TALK ABOUT THE GAME!
...it is not a hard habit to break.
at my workplace, monday morning meeting... everyone was chattering about nfl openers...someone asked me about it, and I said that the nfl is stupid, as is espn...coulda heard a pin drop...
bread and circuses
The best reason for not watching broadcast sports was the introduction of the bull dyke announcing night football games on TV.
white, 25-50 year old men are the ENEMY !
Haha, true, true....
Why does the Free Republic Admin think this is just a sports story? I saw another thread was pulled about Sergio Dipp saying he “Meant No Disrespect”? When sports channels and sports casters cross the line into politics, isn’t it justified to post threads about it?
I turned on the game and heard that voice. I seriously could tell if it was a guy or woman? I almost suspected tranny. It was that bad. Had no idea the guy in the booth was Ryan. It was horrible. I turned off a game I would have otherwise watched. ESPC has got to go!
Wymyn have no business calling football games — college or pro. And, I’m a woman!
