On 7/5/2016 at approximately 6:45 PM Eastern time, someone copied the data that eventually appears on the “NGP VAN” 7zip file (the subject of this analysis). This 7zip file was published by a persona named Guccifer 2, two months later on September 13, 2016.

I think the forensicator has misattributed the timestamp progression to “the time required to make a copy or transmit.” I think the rar-file timestamp progression is an artifact of the time required to make each rar file.

If only the FBI could have looked at those DNC servers. But...
The DNC wouldn’t let the FBI examine their servers. The DNC used a private company called Crowdstrike (that they already employed) to examine their servers. Crowdstrike gave the FBI a report but never shared the actual data with them. The FBI was OK with that.

Interesting that this is Forensicator's first blog post. I could be mistaken, but I see no previous posts on his blog. Which suggests to me that the blog is new. Further, not a lot of us DFIR folks use the term 'forensicator' anymore - it's a tad dated.
Does anyone know how he (I'm assuming Forensicator is a he...sorry) obtained the 7zip archive he analyzed? I do not see where in the post he states where he obtained the data for analysis. Unless I'm just blind.

One would think this would close the matter in that the basis for the investigation was to determine if the e-files were hacked by the Russians, and this shows it was done, um. locally.
And quite possibly it was done by someone they had murdered in gangland style to serve as an example to the rest of their Orcs.
But you know as soon as the dust settles from this latest revelation/categorical refutation of Democrats’ constant red herring (`It was Russia. it was always Russia.’), they and their MSM will be flogging the same allegations for the one millionth time even though they haven’t yet produced a scintilla of evidence.
