LGBTQ activists in cities across the country are calling for city officials to create "rainbow crosswalks" to "honor the LGBTQ community."
"Rainbow crosswalks" are public crosswalks that have been repainted in rainbow colors, which have been adopted by the LGBTQ community as a symbol of greater acceptance and rights for LGBTQ causes and beliefs.
Activists are urging local lawmakers to create the crosswalks through the use of petitions. Currently, one of the cities targeted is Chicago.

Washington, D.C., already installed temporary rainbow crosswalks honoring transgender persons earlier this year, and Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed announced this week the city will make its rainbow crosswalks permanent following the circulation of a petition that amassed more than 22,000 signatures.

Philadelphia and San Francisco already have permanent rainbow crosswalks of their own, and petitions are now also circulating in and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Milwaukee and New York City to install similar crosswalks, all of which would presumably be paid for by taxpayers.

Whoops, looks like it’s already happened in the gay white North
Black burnout across Whitehorse rainbow crosswalk leaves officials fuming
WHITEHORSE RCMP in Whitehorse have opened an investigation into an act of vandalism on a newly painted rainbow crosswalk installed by the city in support of the LGBTQ community.
Witnesses say a white truck stopped on the crosswalk on Monday and burned rubber, leaving long black marks across the rainbow.
Whitehorse Mayor Dan Curtis says he’s embarrassed for the person who did the burnout, adding there will always be a small portion of the community that is intolerant and fearful of others.
Curtis says he’s actually glad it happened because it emphasizes the need for tolerance and the obvious point that more work has to be done in the community.
Good! Now we can walk and stomp on the LGBTQ Flag without being called homophobic!
So fagulous!
Ick...
They can put as many as they can afford. Knock yourselves out
Damn right about the discrimination part: We could indeed discriminate between natural, Godly behavior and perverted evil.
And crossing against the light shall be known as ‘gaywalking’...
Stop giving into their stupid demands and ignore them.

Is there any more needed proof the DC is a den of perversion and deviance...
Give them some buckets of paint and some brushes.
Then watch the fun as they deal with the city unions and irate motorists who they block as they paint.
But I’m betting you won’t see much of them once they realize that they will have to do the work themselves.
If cities do that, there’s going to be a huge surge in jaywalking. The damned things are going to become kinky catwalks in the center of town and most people wouldn’t want to be caught dead in one of them... “Hey, Joe, I saw you traipsing across one of them kinky catwalks on Main Street. You coming out or something?”
...who’s suppose to pay for the “special” paint?
And then they will say that straight folk who walk on them are homophobic and doing so to ‘walk all over queers’ and/or the will want to make it illegal for non-queers to walk on them.
Christian petition demands crosses and verses condemning homosexuality in all cross walks- wonder which one will be fulfilled first
E to these self-aggrandizing pervs: drop dead. You cannot force acceptance of your perversion on me or any other moral person by trying to stick your symbols in my face. Go crawl back under the rocks where you belong. Just thinking about you makes me sick. You weaken the moral fiber of our country by trying to insist that yours is a normal or desirable lifestyle. It is NOT. And no amount of coercion will change my mind.
