Squatty Potty is putting their feet down when it comes to Kathy Griffin.
CEO Bobby Edwards issued a statement announcing Squatty Potty has suspended an ad campaign featuring Griffin following the backlash towards the comedian for a photo of her holding up a bloody mask that represented Donald Trump.
“We were shocked and disappointed to learn about the image Ms. Griffin shared today, it was deeply inappropriate and runs contrary to the core values our company stands for. In response, Squatty Potty has suspended its ad campaign featuring Ms. Griffin,” Edwards said. “We have acted swiftly and decisively to demonstrate our commitment to a culture of decency, civility, and tolerance.”
A Squatty Potty is a toilet stool designed to “help users assume the squatting position while using the bathroom, delivering fast, complete elimination with comfort and ease.”

The stool is shaped to fit around the base of the toilet while the users put their feet on the Squatty Potty to elevate themselves.
The product appeared on ABC’s “Shark Tank” in 2014. The Squatty Potty company also makes sprays and bathroom products.
Griffin has since apologized for the picture in a video.
“I am just now seeing the reaction of these images. I’m a comic. I crossed the line. I move the line, then I cross it. I went way too far. The image is too disturbing. I understand how it offends people. It wasn’t funny. I get it,” Griffin said.
Outrage over the photo has been widespread from both the right and left political sides.
CNN’s Anderson Cooper tweeted that he was “appalled” by the picture, calling it “disgusting and completely in appropriate.”
Cooper and Griffin have co-hosted “New Year's Eve Live” on CNN since 2007.

Every time I visited Facebook during the past few days, I was greeted with a Squatty Potty ad on my wall. Have they launched a big Facebook ad campaign, to take advantage of their newfound fame?
