"I think I could have won."
I may not agree with his positions, Im glad hes not President, and he may be an inveterate gaffe-machine but, unlike many Democrat lifer-politicians, Joe Biden isnt a bad person. Sure, we make a lot of jokes at his expense (and he does get a bit gropey) but at the end of the day hes just Joe. Nobody really has anything too terrible to say about him - a rarity in modern American politics. He isnt someone I want in the oval office, but hes certainly not the monster Hillary Clinton is.
Thats why, when he said the following this weekend, I was forced to agree.
I think Biden is right. He would have won. I still don’t understand why the Democrats let Hillary muscle him aside.
I don’t think he would have won. He may have even done worse. What would he have given for his speech when he was sworn in, the Gettysburg Address? We all know how he likes to use other folks stuff and claim it as his own.
HRC needs to crash and burn and she may run again. She did win the popular vote, but I prefer Biden.
However, the liberal elite selected their overlord to rule over everyone, rigged the election for her, and this is what you get.
Biden was the Democrats logical choice. Decades as an influential Senator. Eight years as a loyal Veep. No scandals. Personally well liked, even by Republicans. Not my choice of course, but he would have won Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, and maybe Ohio as well.
The DIMS are most successful when nominating the “rock star” type candidates like BJ Clinton and Obama. I don’t see any of those type candidates on the horizon.
I think if Biden ran with Clinton as his running mate, Clinton would now be President.
Biden is a lightweight who was laughed off the sate a over a decade ago. But who knows.
Ah, what ifs. What if Joe was the nominee?:
Would he have done as poorly with the Sanders-hippies as Hillary did? Yep.
Would he have lost PA? No way.
Would he have brought out more black voters in SC and FL? Nope.
Would he have pulled in more liberal women voters than Hillary. Not a chance.
WOULD JOE BIDEN HAVE WON? Simply, No.
In a change election, with no race or gender card to play? Don’t think he would’ve had a chance. Bernie maybe, they would’ve sold him as a centrist (LSM: “pay no attention to the socialist behind the curtain, he’s the second coming of Scoop Jackson, trust us”, and the lo-fo voters would’ve lapped it up, not to mention the mindless millennials). We dodged a bullet. Thank you DWS for fixing the primary.
laughed off the STAGE...
Coulda, shoulda, woulda. Doesn’t mean jack, now. The fact is, Joe DIDN’T run, and regrets never bought even a cup of coffee. The Democrats are a wholly owned subsidiary of the international George Soros cartel, which is WAY more powerful than mere drug cartels. Drugs destroy lives, George Soros destroys the economy of entire countries.
I think the guy who said this is right:
Hillary is the only candidate that can’t beat trump, and Trump is the only candidate that can’t beat Hillary.
Now, obviously SOMEBODY had to win, but that made a very good point. Yes. I think Biden would have beaten Trump.
If he HAD run, it would have been great to see all of the media clips put out by the MSM of Biden GROPING women over the years, at about the time the Trump scandal arose.
(/s as I am sure the MSM would have done no such thing.)
“I still dont understand why the Democrats let Hillary muscle him aside”
In light of revelations concerning the DNC and the wresting of control from anyone but HRC, the scandalous debate escapades, health cover up.... ad infinitum, ad nauseum... it shouldn’t be surprising that the anointed queen was propped up and spoon fed, manufactured and contrived for presentation by the DNC under the control of wasserman-schultz and others of her ilk. I would like to call out the Femocrats who were stumbling blindly shouting gloriously that history was being made... Damn the policies! They were “robbed” in 2008 and it wasn’t going to happen again no matter what it was going to take! And they lost, even with the abounding underhanded skullduggery, which persists to this very day.
After Uncle Joe’s bowing out unceremoniously from the race. Biden was an after thought by many, (when it appeared that perhaps HRC’s luggage were too heavy for the party to carry...) except the Femocrats - and Biden is now waxing poetic on should haves, and what ifs.
I have regrets that a knucklehead like Biden was VP.
What an embarrassment.
Biden had some serious family baggage.
Seems the only child of his that isn’t a complete mess is the son who died.....
and now his druggie brother is dating his widow.
Funny that you should mention Scoop Jackson. He was the last Democrat of whom I had a favorable opinion ...
