That’s the gist of the article. Adams claims it changes the argument from Trump-is-Hitler to Trump is incompetent. And that’s a good thing. Delusional. Not one of his better articles.
Ah, but note that Adams also predicts that the Trump meme soon will be converted from “incompetent” to “competent”. I believe that and I also think adams is right that it would not have been possible (or at least much harder) to go directly from “Trump = Hitler” to Trump = competent” than via “Trump = incompetent”.
The fact that Pelosi already is in line with the new meme shows that Adams is right so far. (And it is also shows that Pelosi is as dumb as a bag full of rocks - but we knew that!)
Donald Trump is neither Hitler nor incompetent. The world is, to use a term once associated with Dubya-43, “misunderestimating” Donald Trump. He is playing a very sophisticated game of 3-D chess, while everybody else is fooled into thinking it is just a game of checkers.
Like an eagle poised atop a thermal spiral that spots a prize in the lake, Trump plunges down in a swoop, and snatches the trout from just beneath the surface of the water, and bears the capture back to roost to feast upon it at leisure.
I may not always agree with him, but Adams is always worth reading. He examines things and offers opinion far outside of conventional thought and I will be the first to admit that he is often correct when you examine it in hindsight despite your skepticism and disbelief when you first read it.
My respect for his writing has grown immeasurably through the election cycle. He possesses a rare mind and insight that does not fit within the dominant box that usually steers our conversation.
He may be correct here. The world did not come apart today and life continues. On the surface Trump did not get what he wanted, yet he calmly moved on to the next thing leaving the congress mired in its own dysfunction. In fact, one might say Trump simply shrugged. That does speak to the country and certainly does not make one think of a dictatorial madman.
Adams is saying it’s good _for_Trump_.
It sound like you didn’t read the whole article!
“Trump is incompetent” is just a transition point from “Trump is Hitler” in a dynamic “persuasion process” where the next stage is “Trump is competent”.
He claims that transition point will occur this summer.
Adams has interesting arguments! I read it shake my head and say to myself “This can’t be!”. However so far he seems to be on to something with this “persuasion “ just look at what already has happened!
Scott says the next phase is “competent but we hate it.”
How’s that selective editing working out for you?
You learned your lessons well from the fakestream presstitutes.
California governor Jerry Brown was incessant with his description of Trump as an “illegitimate president” after Election Day. He’s been so quiet in the last two months that I was wondering if he died. That’s because he needed to beg that “illegitimate president” for billions of dollars in disaster relief money to cope with the floods in his state. You’re going to see the same thing happen on a national scale.
Misspoke. It is good for the country, if only by reducing the hysteria racing heading toward civil war.
