Sen. Ted Cruz wasted no time mincing words on what he thinks about the three phases of the American Health Care Act Sunday morning on Face the Nation.
That aint gonna happen, Cruz told host John Dickerson when asked about the 3-phase plan President Trump and House Republicans have been pushing since the roll out their non-repeal and replacement of the Affordable Care Act.

Do you think Ted is correct or wrong?
“DAANG! Ted Cruz Openly Mocks 3 Phase Obamacare Replacement Plan: That Aint Gonna Happen”
I think the only ones who stood with him were Jeff Sessions and either Rand Paul or Mike Lee, maybe both of the latter.
Sometimes the simplest solution is the BEST solution. I want Nancy Pelosi to be the first person to sign up!
Trump is letting the legislative process run the course, with their chosen leaders.
If that fails to yield results, Trump might take more control and propose something different.
We are still in the 1st Qtr. of Sausage Making, IMO.
Seeing how it was ruled a “tax” by Turncoat Roberts, the bill would need to be written in The House, but who pays attention to the constitution anyhow?
I always thought Ted Cruz could be a great Senator.
I also always thought he was ineligible to be President.
I think the election in Novemer 2018 is more important to Ted than the election of November of 2016 was to him.
If all Conservatives did what Ted did last year, we wouldn’t be having this conversation.
Hillary would not have addressed ObamaCare.
I’m glad he’s doing this now too, but maybe the time to come up with a new bill was sometime around when he shut the government down to repeal Obamacare? What if it had worked?
Yes, indeed.

I was and am a Cruz enthusiast. I did not think he had his ducks in a row for a presidential run. He may never due to his place of birth.
He did get pissy about things when he was beiing clobbered in the primaries. Not much of a show of strength.
I still like his conservatism. But he currently is not ready for the top job.
From Cruz’s book......
On leadership corruption and sellout......
That Tuesday lunch began with our leadership saying, Were asking every Republican senator here, to affirmatively consent to lower the threshold for Harry Reid to take up the debt ceiling, from 60 votes to 50 votes. And we were told, everyone of you should agree for two reasons.
Number one, if we do this, it will happen, and hallelujah, hallelujah, thats what we want. We want trillions more in debt with no spending reforms, because were scared of this issue. We dont want to have a political fight on this.
But number two, if we do this, the Democrats will have the votes to do it on their own, which means all of us Republicans can vote no. And we can go home and tell our constituents, we opposed the thing we just consented to allow happen.
Now, I was sitting there to be honest, I hadnt gone to lunch intending to pick a fight, but as I listened to that, I was astonished and I raised my hand, and I said, Theres no universe in which I can consent to doing that. I spent two years campaigning across Texas, telling Texas, if you elect me, Ill fight with every breath in my body to stop the out of control spending and debt that are bankrupting our kids and grandkids.
If were to do that, I think it would be both dishonest and unfaithful to the men and women who elected me.
I don’t trust Ryan. He is a RINO. He is GOPe. He is with McConnell.
Concur. He’s doing his job as Senator very well.
I, too, believe he wasn’t eligible for President. He might’ve been a good one, but it would’ve been hypocritical to support him after criticizing Obama’s eligibility.
Are you referencing that odd 21 hour ramble mixing Dr. Seuss Green Eggs and Ham with Star Wars? And that led to what, exactly?
They were like barking dogs on a leash. The leash is gone, and the tail is now tucked.
Mine went from $350 before Obamacare to $600 to $1200. Good thing I found a better option that covers my whole family, is exempt from Obamacare and costs $450/month. Try Liberty Healthshare, a faith-based health sharing organization.
Even if Rand Paul’s healthcare plan is worse, per one article I saw and I don’t know if that is so, at least, Rand put something out there for people to see.
Tom Cotton has likewise been critical of this bill; plenty of stories on this and the Iraq war hero.
No matter what the RyanCare people say, when the insurance companies and the Federal government
are holding all the cards and making all the decisions for the doctors and their patients, then it ain't a free market.
I didn’t like him as a Presidential candidate; somewhat because I wanted to stay in the Senate. Trump 2016-2024, Pence 2024-2032, Cruz 2032-2040.
