It’s not law yet, and it doesn’t cut overall spending that much. Nor does it significantly cut the deficit or come close to balancing the budget, which will never come under control until the 800 lb. elephant in the room — “entitlements” — are gutted dramatically.
And it doesn’t go as far as I would in slashing and burning the DC bureaucracy — largely unconstitutional — a giant sucking sound of redistribution of wealth from hardworking Americans to the blood-sucking leeches in the nation’s capitol.

Get serious.... The proposed budget by the president is just that— a proposal.
The budget originates in the house and is acted on in the senate.
The president can either sign it into law or veto it.
President has fulfilled his campaign “promise” to propose a budget. Now, the congressional critters will have to “own” the 2017 budget.

Agree. Also think that all “fee good” programs should be eliminated. Unfortunately the bill would never get out of the House, let alone the Senate. He who delivers the most pork gets the most votes and the longer this bill delays the closer it gets to the 2018 mid-term reelection. Republicans are the biggest weenies in the world.

I don’t EVER blame repubs. US voters are welfare begging trash. You say repubs are frightened weenies. WHAT scares them? US voters scare them, that’s who. Promise to cut the fed budget by a lousy 1 percent, and you might be out of a job. Why? Because US voters are either on the welfare gravy train, or they believe the MSM when they say a 1percent cut means the end of the earth.
