Oddly enough, criminals havent yet deduced the allegedly awesome crime-evading powers of the silencer. A Chicago PD spokesman told Steve Chapman earlier this year that they rarely recover silencers in gun crimes; an ATF study found that, of 1.3 million silencers in use in the United States, an average of
44 are used in the commission of crimes annually. Why would Americas felons leave a tool like this at home when, per Gillibrand, it could mean the difference between capture and escape? Are they idiots?

I’m sure they won’t as long as you have your mouth running to let the crooks know about it...are all women today that stupid or is it just me that has some common sense???
I have NEVER heard of a gun crime being solved because of its sound.
Evidently, she has no intelligent advisors.
Legal silencers are expensive and approval takes 9 months at this time.
Illegal silencers are easy to make for under 10 bucks and less than an hour of work. Crooks would already have them if they wanted them.
Will someone tell these dumbarses that there really is no such thing as a “silencer”, except in movies! The term “silencer” is a misnomer and should never be used to describe a “suppressor”, which unlike the Hollywood version is not silent. Also, are criminals going to wait the half hour or more it takes police to show up at a crime scene and start firing their weapon to make it fair for police to try and catch them? I am sick of the moronic statements of some people on this issue when they have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. Oh, and by the way these devices are already legal and you can bet the criminals have no problem getting one either legally or illegally if they want one.
Silencers dont stop them from not solving over 90% of murders right now.
The only silent gun is a laser gun. Something tha doesnt fire a projetile. Something with gunpowder or moving metal parts always makes noise.
OK, this is confirmation that dems are dumb & deceptive (nothing we didn’t already know).

The term our government uses to describe them is “silencer”. It is what your permission slip says when it comes back from the F=Troop boys.
But you are right. Muffler or suppressor is more accurate. The first ones were made by a guy that designed automobile mufflers, go figure. Teddy Roosevelt had one on a lever action rifle.
She really should learn something about a topic before she opens her mouth...
“We didn’t hear the gun go off so this is now a cold case”
I have a silent pistol that sounds like those on TV, it’s pellet pistol.
What? That does not compute.
Kill-a-Brant is amazingly ignorant about a whole range of subjects, yet she sticks her long nose into them anyway. She is an albatross around the neck of NYers.
Y’know, there are dolls out there with that look frozen on their faces. About as smart as the real thing too.

No, not so! Silenced handguns can’t be heard from ten feet away, just like James Bond in `Doctor No’: “That’s a Smith & Wesson, and you’ve had your six. (pew! pew!)”
