The coffee drinker in the house, my husband, tried his Black Rifle coffee this morning and offered up his review. He says it's every bit as good as evil Starbucks, but smoother. In fact, he reports that the Black Rifle is 'incredibly smooth'.
Four and one half stars.
I'm sorry, but Starbucks compares favorably with stump water mixed with platypus piss, not any other coffee.
If this coffee you write of is any good, then one should not even use the word "Starbucks" any where near it, for fear of contamination.
Starbucks is the most wretched coffee I've ever put in my mouth...bar none...and I've drank some really nasty crap in my time in the military and my time as a LEO.
And I don't say that simply because of their politics.
It is over-roasted to the point of being burnt...the aftertaste is of mildewed mango and the flavor is non-existent to the point of making one wish one had a rotten piece of driftwood to suck on.
It truly would taste better if it were left to boil down in the pot for about 14 hours, then cut it with some hydrochloric acid.
Seriously.
Comparing it to Starbucks is not a challenge. Rotgut tastes better than Starbucks.
How does it stack up against Peet’s?
It w2ould be hard to be WORSE than Starbux which is like burnt disc brake dust mixed with piss.
Which blend?
I am a coffee snob...a good thing.
Wowzaaa!
Starfux is crap. But I will try Black Rifle coffee one day. Kroger isn’t bad.
It is 12 oz in a bag. Not a pound.
I’m old. Coffee just finally got to be too much sugar for
a dime & I reluctantly went over to instant...
after trying Folgers & Taster’s Choice & even ordering a
couple of jars of organic instant, I finally tried NESCAFE
INSTANT. It’s OK. Strong enough and full-bodied. (I get the
dark blend.)
These Freepers who bitch and throw a hissy about the price are a bunch of cheapskates. Just when once an alternative to SB pops up, it comes down to PRICE.
I thought we were supporting BRCC due to ideology.
We prefer Komo estate coffee from uphill on our volcano. Not cheap, but nothing beats 100% Kona coffee.
That is a technique to be able to use low quality beans, because dark roasting burns away good and bad flavors, essentially leaving little character behind in the cinders.
Look up “french roast” history.
BRC is now on gab.ai and i follow them. I encourage them but they’ll never get one of my dollars at those prices. I’m not even close to middle class; in fact i’m poor enough that 97% of FReepers could be paying for my “health insurance”. No sellout here. If i can pay that much for coffee, then i have to do a nutcheck as to what my daughter is sacrificing. I have to live with myself every day.
That said, even though i won’t patronize their business; i support their company, and don’t fault those that spend their income based on their own budget on overpriced coffee.
Just opinion, i’mma nobody.
i looked at their website and I think its very niche and will have very limited appeal to serious coffee drinkers.
They sell nothing but blends, with zero information about whats in the blend and no information as to level of acid or robustness of flavor, not to mention, the blend names are things like F*ck Hipster, Gunship, AK47.
A more serious website for coffee is http://www.coffeebeandirect.com, which is where Ive been buying excellent coffee for years.
I hear ya and respect your side. No prob, just props.
I know we’re on the same team, support just comes in different fashion. I’d never buy it, but if you have the greenbacks to burn; i’d rather point someone in their direction than dirtbags like Starbucks.
I don’t know about you, but i feel like i just found a new FRiend. ;)
We’re cool. Respect bro’. XD
How long have you lived in Colombia and what brought you there?
