The combativeness of the young Trump administration is a beauty to behold.
Trump and his team are true fighters as they daily counter-punch the Fake News press and Deep State.
The MSM prides itself as a kind of fourth branch of government. Nothing wrong with a strong press, but the mainstream media of the last few decades has been a highly partisan and dishonest one that has done much to destroy our democracy and culture.
In May 2015 when Congressman Keith Ellison (an DNC chairman hopeful) predicted on live TV that Donald Trump was a real threat to win the Presidency, Stephanopoulos and other commentators laughed very loudly at this idea.
But ask yourself: why did they laugh so hard? No one could doubt Trump had high name recognition and would be an attractive candidate to the millions who loved his Apprentice TV show.
No, the press laughed out of sheer hubris. They laughed out of utter confidence that they could take down and destroy anyone who dared upset the status quo in Washington.
But even the press' supposed greatest triumph, Watergate, has proven to be a fraud.
Woodward and Bernstein were simply passing along the intelligence from Deep Throat, Mark Felt, who was nothing more than a bitter guy passed over for promotion at the FBI who wanted to get revenge on Nixon. And one of the objectives of Nixon was to drain the swamp at the FBI that had amassed great unchecked power under J. Edgar Hoover who had just passed away.
So the Washington Post’s "save our democracy" mission at Watergate was only Fake News. WaPo was merely taking sides in an internal battle between Nixon and Felt. No wonder Woodward and Bernstein hid Deep Throat’s identity for decades. Plus the Editor and Publisher of the Post were duplicitous in covering up the Big Lie.
Several years ago, a brilliant account of the MSM's dishonesty around Watergate was written by Pat Buchanan: The Outing of Deep Throat.
And of course, the Obama Administration has been involved in dozens of scandals that make a little wiretape of the Watergate Hotel look like child's play by comparison.
Today's Russia-Gate is another Watergate-style deception. A corrupt intelligence community aided by its accomplices in the press is using fake scandals to try and bring down a legitimate Executive administration the people elected.
So FReepers, the vetting of the press and intelligence communities is decades overdue. We must rally behind Trump, Spicer, Bannon, Sessions, and all the other just stewards of our government who are fighting to break this vicious cycle of corruption.
Drain the Swamp, Mr. Trump! And while you're at it, ruin a reporter's career or two, then hang their trophies proudly on the wall.
The assault on the dishonest press is one the great achievements of the Trump administration. It can do our country some great good if we rally around the President and his team here.
Totally agree. The Establishment media has been the dominant power in the United States for 50 years.

Just heard CBS News on radio...Their poll said Americans are “overwhelmingly” against a border wall and deportation...Their report said only 34% support Trump...

Couldn’t be more proud of my President and America (which I always have been proud of) but the pride is bursting from me now because we have a Leader of Our Country that loves America as much as we do!!!
True Dat, it's a new attack everyday, soon they will get tired as the sky is not falling. It's especially boring because they all report the same fake news, last week it was the "cost" of going to Florida, next week something else, predictable and boring.

I enjoy GIMPing these images, and I think a lot of FReepers would get a kick out of them too. Some day I may do a video showing how simple working in GIMP really is.
For me, image GMIPing is an end of the day project where i have a couple of hours to kill.
Essentially you start with a basic idea of what you want and then you let the images you find further refine what the final scene looks like. Very often you will come up with something quite different from what you originally conceived.
My original thought to have the names of journalists under deer antler trophies, so I did a search on Google images. Unfortunately, the deer-on-the-wall shots I found weren't of very good quality.

| Next I ran into this spectacular shot of a handsome trophy room. The quality of his photo got me excited about continuing the project. So now I started looking for a photo of Trump maybe sitting in a chair and grinning about all the fake journalists he had blasted with a Tweet. |

| Then a search on the keywords "Trump living room" yielded the great publicity shot of the Trumps in their Trump Tower apartment. Having Barron already sitting on a lion fit in perfectly with what I wanted to do! Very lucky. |  |
| And in my search I also discovered the wonderful pic of Melania lying elegantly on a red sofa. The only trouble with the sofa shot is that the camera angle was looking down a bit, so I ended up enlarging the left-side pillow to give the illusion of a more straight-on shot. |  |
| Finally I just cut out the image parts I wanted and dropping them in place. I did all the name plaques and final assembly in Excel. One other change: notice I put the left-side face of the lion in front of Trump. That was easy to do and also gives the image more depth. So there you go. |

PP, no, leopards would not do. Ever heard the idiom, *Leopards cannot change their spots?* These particular ‘leopards’ have succeeded in eliminating their spots completely. They’ve none left. The lion connotation implies king of the jungle (and it is a jungle out there). Not only that but he defeats and devours when hunger strikes. Excellent choice. And, may I add the Melania image is striking and elegant. A vast difference when comparing the prior first lady. The trophy room finds me a bit surprised. I see no stuffed bear standing tall with front legs outstretched. Small potatoes - do enjoy seeing Kelly’s image which more than compensates.

It’s natural for every leopard to be spotted, just as every saint at some time sins. But the deceit of these leopards is so great, their spots have shunned the light of truth and moved into body to surround their hearts and darken them.
Look at the Kelly leopard’s hide, so beautiful in the purest of white, yet see how her inner darkness and dishonesty easily shine through.
Then there’s the Todd lion who growls so loudly, but can’t really bite because he’s fake. In truth, he’s only a midget lion, too childish and stuffed with hatred to be a lion of dignity and accomplishment.
You make it sound like it’s “no big deal,” but you truly are a master of your craft. I love seeing what you and a few other FReepers put together!! Thank you for continuing to post your pieces!
