MANHATTAN A stark realization within certain segments of New York City's immigrant community is that life in the Trump administration will be rife with uncertainty.
"I cannot plan anything more than two weeks ahead," said "Larry." "Because at any moment I believe that the immigration officers."
Larry - that's not his real name, as he requested PIX11 to conceal his identity. He tells us he's terrified the way the Trump administration enforces its immigration policies will ultimately lead to his deportation back to his home in the Caribbean. All stemming from a more than 15-year-old white collar federal fraud conviction.
"I served three years for that," he said....

“you werent deported before. You should have been”
Exactly right. If the previous administration would have been actively enforcing CURRENT immigration laws this guy probably wouldn’t be here now...or at least he would have had to go through the proper vetting to come back legally. Dudes’ blaming the wrong people and the media is more than happy to help out.
Don’t break up the family - send them all back to Mexico. If the ‘kids’ are American citizens they can come back when they’re 18.
If you cant do the time, dont do the crime.
I was born here. I pay taxes here. I have never been convicted of a felony.
Why should a person who no one invited here, committed a felony so heinous that it resulted in 3 years in federal prison. (Most first time bank robbers get around 2 years, so it was a pretty serious ‘white collar’ crime), get to stay?
It is not that Blacks and white trash are lazy workers. It is simply the fact that they expect to be paid market wages and not live in a housing unit with eight to a bedroom and thirty to a home.
GREAT point. Thanks. I can use that in future arguments with libs.
Of course it makes sense.
As I’ve been saying lately, I’m pretty sure he’s not undocumented - it’s just that his documents are likely fraudulent.
Am I the only one that notices...’Larry’ for purposes of concealing the identity, goes on to present his past life. A past that well, let’s just say is likely to be fairly unique in his tenure, his crimes, his prison stay, his shenanigans post prison life, etc etc etc...I’m thinking finding ‘Larry’ will be something even a 5th grader could accomplish. The trail begins with arresting this ‘journo’ for harboring.
Deport this bum! Cry me a river.
They say that like it’s a bad thing.
