Art of the Deal?
The Mexican Peso has had a brutal year. The closer Trump got to winning, and the more likely his victory seemed, the further its value fell. In fact, immediately after Trumps victory, Mexicos currency plummeted a staggering 11%.
The countrys currency hit a new record low as votes were being tallied, suffering an 11% drop. By early Wednesday morning, the peso regained some ground but it was still down more than 9%.
How about, “Thank you sir, may I have another”???
I ask my kids this question all the time... they’re now understanding the answer. In short, never co-sign a loan.
“Who has the more upper hand? The guy (ie China) who you owe $10 million dollars to, or the guy ie (USA)who owes you $10 million dollars to?”
Get out of here! :-)
I’m thinking they don’t quite have their heads on straight yet, but it’s a start.
Going back early in his campaign until now, every time Trump has signaled a move, the leftists and globalists would call him an idiot at best and an overreactive man-child at worst.
Then suddenly everything fell into place for him.
He is literally Teflon Don.
After all, he is Trump.
That pretty much says it all.
“Negotiation 101. Understand who is at the other end of the table.”
Exactly. Also known as “the art of the deal”.
If they know whats good for them, theyll come to the bargaining table with hat in hand, and take whatever crumbs President Trump is willing to give them.
Absolutely, but the long term goals should be to eliminate the rampant corruption and control of Mexico by the ruling elites, and create a society that Mexicans don't feel the need to escape from just to make a living. A strong and vibrant Mexico will ultimately mean a safer USA. Imagine a Canada south :-).
Before long, he will be begging for a meeting with Trump.
Prophetic, even.
First time seeing this, and it was great, and yes, hilarious!!!
You have to watch this video!!
“Our President literally wrote the book on this process, yet the media, and political types, still have no idea what he is doing. Idiots!”
It truly is a thing of beauty to watch it unfold.
He'll let Mexico get all huffy and indignant for a while and then drop the boom on them. Instead capitulating on the deal, like Obama always did when he was making lame attempts at "negotiating"--which he knew nothing about, he will slowly make Mexico realize they're holding very few playable cards in their hand.
And then Trump will make them a deal they can't refuse, and they will end up paying for the wall, one way or another. This is all preliminary staking out of each side's territories for what is to come. Trump definitely has the upper hand. He won't be outmaneuvered by Nieto.
President Nieto is on a leaking boat that is taking on more water than he can manage to bail, with only about 12% support in his country. He caused his own currency, the peso, to crash when he cancelled the Trump meeting. I think that is what Trump was expecting. Nieto will come around eventually.
America has served as a pressure relief valve for the corrupt state of Mexico for generations. If we were to force the tens of millions of Mexican illegals residing here to go home, and bar the door to their re-entry, the pressure would build sufficiently in that country to force fundamental change.
It's really the only way to permanently fix this problem.
This is really good.
The border Patrol has seized billions in cash, besides drugs. Where has all that money gone?
Trump should negotiate a 100 year lease for some Mexican borderland to build the wall on.
