Oh please, please, please...
The dream is alive! According to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll, there are now more Californians than ever who support the idea of seceding from the United States. Dubbed the Calexit movement, the goal is to make California its own country, thus bestowing upon the world a happy, prosperous, California-free, America where it will be virtually impossible to elect a Democrat President.
you watch, if they leave the unitedness of the states- they will still demand that their votes be counted in the general election- probably sue to get the ‘right’ since ‘illegals have the ‘right’ to vote, they will claim they do too
There are no “new-confederates” in California.
No illegal alien, pansy Hollywood actor, peace-nick metro-male, kale eating vegetarian, fart-sniffing San Franciscan, hysterical womyn studies professor, nor safe-space snowflake is going to take up arms to fight this war.
And 4,500,000 Californian conservatives voted for Trump.
The ugly blind date wants to call if off....okay by me!
A Beatles song title comes to mind as appropriate for this, Let it Be.
Just hypothetically... how much would it cost to bribe another 17% into the ‘leave’ camp? The ROI could be YUGE.
I know some who are for it but only because if it happens they can secede from California.
For the first time ever, I’m solidly behind CA on this. Behind and pushing them out the door.
Wake up and smell the coffee!
Who do you think is behind this? Not Conservatives!!!!
MEChA (Spanish: Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlán, “Chicano Student Movement of Aztlán) is an Chicano organization that seeks to promote Chicano unity and empowerment through education and political action. The acronym of the organization’s name is the Spanish word mecha, which means “fuse.” The motto of MEChA is La Unión Hace La Fuerza (”Unity Creates Strength”).
A group of secessionists in California are taking advantage of post-election discontent and re-introducing their petition to make California its own country. Apparently, the liberal elites of California aren’t big fans of Donald Trump...who knew?
According to the Sacramento Bee, support for the “The 2019 #Calexit Independence Referendum” is gaining some momentum after devastated Hillary supporters received their bad news on Tuesday night.
About 11,000 people liked the Facebook page for the Yes California Independence Campaign as of Tuesday night. By midday Wednesday, it had grown to nearly 17,000 likes and counting.
Obviously it was a huge boost for the movement because Californians hate Donald Trump, said Marcus Ruiz Evans, vice president of the group.
The hashtag #Calexit was already trending on Twitter and Facebook on Wednesday. Posts ranged from Shervin Pishevar, a Bay Area venture capitalist and tech entrepreneur, calling for the state to secede, to conservatives welcoming a California-less nation.
Ruiz Evans said Yes California intends to launch an initiative that asks Californians whether they believe the state should remain part of the United States or break away on its own. Similar to the Citizens United ballot measure voters approved Tuesday, it would begin as an advisory proposal to kick-start an arduous process.

Yeah, they’ve really not thought this one through. They probably think we can’t survive without their tax dollars...yeah, well, how much do you think our water will cost you?
What’s the over under on when they beg to come back?
I say six years.
Alberta is fighting Trudeau to keep its oil business going. Maybe Canadians should look in the mirror.
Message to Californuts: Most of the other states will cheer if you leave the union. Good luck building your own military, importing enough electricity, figuring out your water problem, and dealing with the overwhelming flood of illegal immigrants and refugees. I will laugh and clap when you crash and burn.
When the crazy uncle that lives in the attic wants to leave home and go out on his own YOU LET HIM!
Depends on how you define the “northern half”
“A coastal state that large and that wealthy is worth fighting over.”
I’d be willing to concede the southern half of California without conflict, but the northern half remains...there was no reason to create a state as large as California THAT AT THE SAME TIME dominates so much coastal area. It has created a single, economic power all out of proportion to the rest of the country.
Have at it CA.
Join Mexico if you want a country to belong to.
Otherwise, sink.
Where can we donate to the effort?
True. Very true.
As well as all the new payments to Colorado, Utah and Arizona for the water they need, and now get from the Colorado River...
