Not long after President Donald Trump was sworn in, we happened to run into the Rev. Jesse Jackson on the street. He gave a thumbs-up to Trumps inauguration speech but said the new commander in chief has much work to do in order to unify a nation riven by a divisive campaign.
The speech was full of hope and inclusion and he reached out to cities in a way theyve not been reached out to for a long time, he said. But with that must come a target, a timetable and a budget.
Trumps speech hit many of the populist chords he refined on the campaign trail, portraying Washington as full of elite insiders indifferent to the common man....

Obama had no use for JJ.
He is hoping to become relevant again.
The only ones who made his campaign *divisive* are the leftists who are complaining that it was.
Trump held out the olive branch and they are spitting in his face over it.
Hey, THIS is interesting....
Fox had this interview with a Dem Rep who’s willing to work with Trump.

Yep...note he’s really looking for the money.
Did you listen to this loser? He is anti-wall hispanic pandering POS. Fox should be ashamed.
Gotta make nice, doesn’t he have a huge tax bill still?
Well, he’s a dem. I don’t expect him to agree with EVERYTHING.
But that fact that he’s on board with even some of Trump’s stuff is encouraging and he was openly critical of those who threw their little *boycott the inauguration* temper tantrum.
Faux Snooze playing games again. The guy had an anti wall agenda and they put him on air. It’s all propaganda,
Jesse Jackson has been praising Trump for a long time because they worked together on solving some inner city problems many years ago.
Jackson was very appreciative of Trumps efforts and said so.
Apparently, Jackson hadn’t yet gotten the memo that Trump’s speech was divisive and anti-semitic.
Thanks Jessie...glad you like it..Now go back and help the inner cities...
Why? He's an irrelevant has-been.
Why doesn't he lead and do something for "his people," instead of waiting on others? Typical black "leadership" mentality.
Yup, that’s what he said “But with that must come a target, a timetable and a budget.”
Trump is going to clean up Chicago. Jesse wants in. There is a lot of opportunity here for someone like Jackson to become a team player. I would go so far as to say it could lead to a pardon for his kid.
Has Hell frozen???? Are pigs flying????
Oops, Jesse spoke out before getting the text the meme was to be dark and Hilter-esk.
“He gave a thumbs-up to Trumps inauguration speech . . . “
Holy cow, Jesse Jackson??? Hope he’s watching his back.
To you, maybe. But not to the black community.
For Trump to bring JJ into the White House and get him "on board" would be a yuge step in the right direction of starting to attract Black voters into the Trump camp.
I, for one, am very thankful that President Trump has a good track record of hiring Blacks within his organization, and at high-level positions. So a little less antagonism and a little more effort at inclusion is in order, IMHO...
You are talking about 4th or 5th generations of blacks born after the Civil Rights era, who grew up in broken homes with no fathers and can't locate Selma on the map even if you pointed it out to them. Younger blacks have no idea who Jackson and Sharpton are.

Get him on board with what? Trump reaching out to JJ is appeasement and weakness.

Yes, Trump has hired QUALIFIED blacks. Blacks who actually worked and don't have a criminal history. What has JJ run, besides a token presidential race and an organization funded by rich white leftists and taxpayers?
call am ambulance stat, I am laughin so hard
my ribs are playin Dixie on my spin
what ole Jesse really said was hey “T” howbout a touch
