This pic below the media is pushing, including all social media.

The level pics show SOME white all the way on the back right but nowhere near the empty HUGE white areas in the earlier pic. There was no Trump in the aerial ones also. It took people HOURS to filter in due to the violent rioters causing major check points.
I see people all the way back with a small white spot. By the end of his speech those areas were filled. Tens of thousands outside waiting to get through the check points.
Yea you should not be a “fan” of the media, they LIE constantly. Wanna address the pic they posted on twitter claiming the MKL bust was removed? That’s another pic they lied about, because it was still there, just Blocked someone in the room. But you believe them if you like.

Looks to me like the empty white areas are obscured in the low elevation pic. I can’t tell if there are a lot of people back there or not. The folks standing in front obscure the view there.
I’m sure the press will do all it can to minimize the count. I just don’t think these pics make a great case to the contrary.

I heard pundits on Fox yesterday criticizing Spicer for doing that. However, I think that Spicer did exactly what needs to be done. Don't just call out the media on their lies, but do it immediately. Otherwise, the lie has time to sweep through the media and become a major talking point, and attempts to communicate the correct version go nowhere. The left is always ready to promulgate the big lies; we have to be just as ready to counter them.
There is also the dynamic that if you don't correct a problem early on, it just grows. President G. W. Bush made the mistake of allowing the media to run with lies and never called them out on it; as a result, his reputation was irredeemably destroyed.
The misleading pic looks very similar (though from a higher angle) to how the mall looked in the background during the FoxNews broadcast about 2 hours before the ceremony. I think it’s an early pic, taken before most had been able to get in. Having attended the 2009 Tea Party march, I would say the inauguration crowd was larger (judging by the REAL pictures during the ceremony), and the Tea Party crowd was huge.
What a day that was! I was there with friends who were pushing their 1 year old in a stroller. The baby had a sign on him that read “I didn’t read it either.” I remember staying and loading trash bags.
I was at a trade show in Las Vegas. At inauguration time, the hall was completely empty of customers. They were all in their hotel rooms watching TV. Us vendors were all watching online. I had 15-20 vendors in my booth watching.
I spoke to a guy at the airport who was at another large show. Same thing there.
Yes, the lefties in the media and elsewhere are NOTORIOUS liars. I agree. Probably a bit of that going on here.
*But* does the factor of crowd size matter? Many of us DJT voters were and WORKING. Folks in Pennsylvania and Michigan and other swing states are dealing with a lot in their lives right now. Maybe we just couldn’t make it. I know I couldn’t, though I would love to have been there.
Another consideration:
Let us remember what the LEFT was saying all during the campaign. Trump had MASSIVE crowds at his events, Hitlery looked like she had to shove a bunch of sardines into a little can and then have the cameras shoot really tight so the audience appeared large.
When we who love liberty pointed out the crowds were larger at DJT events, the LEFT would retort, “Anecdotal. Irrelevant. Means nothing!”
*NOW*, all of a sudden, they want to use “crowd size” at an inaugural as an indicator that is relevant? In 2016, crowds meant NOTHING...but in 2017 crowds mean EVERYTHING.
Finally, let us remember that crowd size really shouldn’t matter for a President. I am betting (though I haven’t checked the history) Abe Lincoln’s inaugurals weren’t well attended. And Harry Truman’s was probably not the most popular event of its kind. But both were consequential men for their generation.
The left is grasping at straws, folks.
Don’t let them diminish our happiness that eight years of Hussein has ended and we are on the mend.
So technically the photos are from the actual starts... but trump crowds held back because of delay... the press is so disengenuos

A lot of people attended the inauguration the same way they are shopping now, from their home.
I/we watched the event from 10am until 11:45pm.
The first time ever that I have come even close to spending time watching anything other than a portion of the address.

Yep, quick and vigorous pushback to nip it in the bud. They’ve clearly decided that it’s worth the risk of looking touchy or reactive or whatever, which is probably smart.
True, DJT supporters are scattered throughout the country and not concentrated in areas like DC, Baltimore, NY, Philly etc. All those cities are leftwing and within a 3 hr train ride to DC. not to mention all the Universities around that area. Easy to get leftist to rallies in DC vs middle America to come to DC. However, once DJT started his speech that place was packed with only small areas way in the back not filled. Many have posted pics on their blogs and twitter with over flow crowd. It was 2 to 3 hour delays to get through check points to reach the area to stand to watch the speech, people filtered in while the ceremony was going on ... it’s really a disgrace that the left created this situation then brag how nobody was there at the beginning of the speech. Gee, you talk about violence for weeks, create over the top security that cause people to be delayed hours getting into the mall area, and then take pics talking “nobody was there”.

I was live streaming at my desk then left for lunch after the swearing in. As I walked down the hall I could hear the ceremony playing on other computers through the building. There were a lot of people that watched that probably aren't reflected in the published numbers. There were actually 3 other people hanging around my desk watching.
Liars lie...that is what they do. Never trust the “media”.
